I agree with Jimmy, but you or your wife must be very explicit about how your condition affects your everyday life. I think I was too vague and almost secretive, as I found some things embarrassing and felt I had already written them down on the form. However, repeat all that has already been said plus everything else you have to go through on a daily basis.

Take care and

GOOD LUCK!

Yes Jimmy as Skis said be very informative and all will go well for you. I receive the High rate Mobility, but only the basic for home care, I think because my Hubby does everything in the home, though he is not a carer and still goes to work albeit part time. All the Best Hun. Carolina XXX

Yes you must describe you on your worse days but the fact that your on oxygen and need it to get out should score you enough points for the mobility part but the daily living is scored on things like if you can't wash yourself or dress yourself due to such shortness of breath you wud get points and they all add up ... you need to score 8 points to get the standard rate or 12 points and above for the enhanced on both daily living and then on the mobility too .if you can walk 1 metre but no more than 20 metres aided or unaided you receive the full 12 points so should get enhanced on mobility and if you can't bathe yourself at all that gives you a good few points or if you can't feed yourself or prepare a meal yourself they get you points on the daily living ..so it depends what your health is like as it doesn't mean you wud get both so you can tap in a search and it tells you how many points you get per question .sorry I went on a bit but it angers me when people don't get what they need when suffering already ..goodluck

Goodluck my family member said he suffered with bouts of depression due to his worn disc back pain and she scored him no points for that cos he made eye contact disgusting the poor man worked all his life and never claimed benefits ... they really are thorough but maybe since the big controversy they may be more fair ..

Hello jimmyg23, try not to worry, easier said than done I know. But you have support from your family members so that's a good thing. Try to relax and tell them everything that happens on a Dailey basis, how you struggle to do things etc. Wishing you well and can you please let us know how you get on? 👍
