Anxious with memory loss fear
The docs have done tests that tell them more and it took a short stopover in hospital that freaked me out my daily routine that kept me together gone in a heartbeat. It was terrifying the way jumping in a icy pool is when fear tells you that there will be no way out. Came out into a better day when

" pieces of good news this week.
Yesterday I went to an appointment at my local hospital for a pre-op check up before I have a rectocyle operated on, & I won`t need a general anastheatic, just a local, & some sedation. I`ll have to stay in overnight because I won`t have anyone to keep an eye on me after the sedative, but that doesn`

Three months on
Its now just over three months since my husband was in ICU for just over three weeks, a week of this on an incubator, and a further two weeks with a tracheotomy. A number of things went wrong or were not done very well, and although he at one stage he appeared to be recovering he died on a high dependency

REMEMBER WHEN
REMEMBER WHEN All the girls had ugly gym slips It took five minutes for the TV to warm up Nearly everyone's Mum was at home when the kids got home from school Nobody owned a thoroughbred dog You'd reach into a muddy gutter for a penny Your Mother wore nylons that came in two

Take five, feet up, nice cuppa for ~~ADVENT 9 ~~The Christmas Fairies
..............The Christmas Fairies Once upon a time, in the Christmas Tree Forest there lived the Christmas fairies. They spent most of their time practising sitting on top of the Christmas trees. There was just one rule they had to stick to...it was strictly forbidden for a fairy to kiss anyone.!

Is anyone still taking Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) to alleviate their Parkinson's symptoms to good effect?
When I first joined this website over a year ago there was much discussion about LDN and the beneficial effect it was having on some PwP symptoms. However, since then it has hardly been mentioned. I am asking if anyone is still taking LDN and what are the benefits they experience?

I went back to visit the ICU 1 year on
My husband had a hospital appointment last week and I had a few hours to spare. I had already seen the signs for ICU and some of the other wards I had stayed on (almost this time last year). My legs were trembling as I walked the corridor. I phone a friend and recognised a porter who I said thank you

Sadness Is not Depression By Leonard Holmes Updated March 02, 2010 We all feel sad sometimes. Sadness is a normal emotion that can make life more interesting. Much art and poetry is inspired by sadness and melancholy. Sadness almost always accompanies loss. When we say goodbye to a loved one we
