Migranes and Medication
I recently saw Dr Holmes regarding my ongoing and increasingly dibilitating headaches and migranes. After examination and discussion I am awaiting an MRI this week. On the acute attack front I obviously can't take NSAIDs (on warfarin) or Triptans (long standing cardiac issues). For prophylactic thoughts

Constant dizziness following viral meningitis
I would be interested to know if anyone has been suffering from chronic and continual non relenting dizziness months after supposedly recovering from viral meningitis. If so,has anyone discovered a cure or at least anything that helps to combat this.

This Year's (2017/18) Flu Vaccine
It seems some people with APS have no problems with the Flu vaccine, while others do. This year, my INR shot up to 7.7. And, I seemed to have some type of flare. I've been suffering for weeks after the shot. Professor Shoenfeld in Israel (and others) is doing work on adjuvant syndrome, whereby the flu

The connection between Lyme Disease and thyroid illness
As many of you know it is beyond dispute that Lyme Disease and other chronic infections can cause thyroid illness, although doctors in the UK have not yet admitted the connection. There is a new petition that you may be interested in signing: https://www.change.org/p/secretary-of-state-for-health-of-the-united-kingdom-petition-to-the-secretary-of-state-for-health-uk-re-nice-guidelines-on-lyme-disease

Migraine meds suggestions?
Hello! I have ET, JAK2+, with platelets averaging 600K. I’m a low-risk patient and only on 2 x baby aspirin daily for blood thinning. The migraines and fatigue are my main symptoms and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on migraine treatment? I’ve tried Amitriptyline Propranolol Zolmitriptan

Question for people who have had VM ....It has been 3 years since my last bout of VM. I had it 3 years before that also. As you can imagine I'm scared to death it is going to come knocking again. I still have symptoms off and on after my last illness including neck pain dizziness nausea headaches

Colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. Had cryptosporidium. Now stool change, noisy stomach + burning. Help!
Hello. Thank you in advance for responding to my long post. I've had IBS for as long as I can remember. This past October, the dizziness and nausea started up and kept going all winter. Could have been part of a virus that revealed itself in November. I had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy mid January

Facet joint pain lumbar spine
I am feeling very lost with managing my pain. I've now been advised the pain is not in my SI joint after going through physio, acupuncture and other treatments for SI joint pain. It is believed to be lumbar facet joint pain. I have been offered the spinal injections under x-ray as the next treatment

Choices of risk v pain control
Hello I am new to health-unlocked. I am wondering if anyone else is in a similar position to myself? I have had joint and muscle pain for many years eventually controlled by nsaid's for 15yrs. This enabled me to continue my working life. I was taken off them 5years ago due to the increased risks of

How to determine amount of injectable B12 ml's to take, when switching from oral to injections?
I've been taking 10,000-15,000 mcg oral methylB12 and 400 mcg methylfolate. I just received my Oxford BioSciences methylB12 injectable. My doctor said that even though my transcobablamin B12 binding capacity is deficient, that the protein needed to carry it into cells isn't being executed properly, this

Thin lining, aspirin?
I'm 11dpo today and have had faint lines on ICs since 9dpo but they aren't progressing. I'm guessing this is going to be another chemical, which would make it the twelfth. I don't have an appointment at the fertility clinic until May, but at my pelvic scan last cycle on CD31 (I think) I was told my

Thick toe nails - fungus?
Toenails. I have thick big toe and pinky toe nails. Under one big toe is a white lump in the middle of the nail under the nail. I do not think it is a fungus. I used tea tree oil and oregano oils for months - and they are anti-fungal. I just want this "bump" to grow out smooth again. I cut my toenail

Aftermath of meningitis in children
Hello, I am new to this post and am beyond concerned for my 6 year old son. He had bacterial meningitis when he was 3 months old.
