Rytary… might stop??
Rytary gives me 4 hour ON on a 5 hour dose cycle, BUT, the afternoon slump around 3 pm (halfway between doses, but when endogenous
dopamine
is naturally low) is WORSE with some unexpected foot dystonia.

Rytary
1 -25/100 and 145 mg Rytary helps with off time when I run out of
dopamine
, I have to sit down and wait for pills to kick in, but the Rytary helps with that now, but I’m very stiff and achy in leg and arm since on Rytary, anyone else experiencing stiffness with Rytary?

Management of Parkinsons Disease
And lets not be stingy on the
dopamine
supplementation. Take your medicine and dont torture yourself! It only adds to the stress. If you have side effects, there are plenty of alternatives that your doctor can try.

which way to go (severe RLS)
Our doctor explained that movement produces
dopamine
but once you stop moving it gets depleted fast. Not sure I got it right. Can someone help to decide what to do next, she is probably augmenting on pramipexole, but is already taking Neurontin, what should be the way out here?

Why Won't My Neurologist Listen (Explanation)
What it does: In Parkinson’s disease the amount of
dopamine
is decreased in certain areas of the brain and oral levodopa is given to compensate for this decrease.

When we talk about revolution "against" the world of Parkinson's...
Not just
dopamine
. (When I write about Parkinson's, I use its former name: "paralysis agitans" to free my mind from prejudices, limitations associated with what everyone believes or knows... to defuse that fascination of words so loaded with information.

RLS Augmentation: 1) How to know if its Augmentation? 2) How to titrate off the drugs?
I don't know if my condition is getting worse due to age, diet, etc, or it is Augmentation from the Ropinirole (
Dopamine
Agonist)? Q2 - Would it be best to first Titrate down the Clonazepam (Benzodiazepine), or the Ropinirole? Or reduce them both proportionally at the same rate?

Iron Infusion Attempt
He took care to validate my diagnosis of Restless Legs and then went through the various treatment options from
dopamine
agonists which work very well for some of his patients, though alpha 2 delta ligands, opioids and infusions so I had a balanced view of all the options.

Coming off Pramipexole
She had no clue about RLS and I explained Augmentation and
Dopamine
Agonist usage. She agreed that if I wished to come off Pramipexole I must do it gently but basically said, "Can you cut them in half and reduce over several weeks?"

Song 4 about depression
Growing strong right through it all but yes one day they will fall Verse 2 Watch the world pass, while you flying on the inside
Dopamine
clouds, you just lying on the inside Can't find your thoughts when it's cloudy on the inside Try to find direction but you lost on the inside Lost all hope there

if there is a vaccine for PD or PD can be prevented
there will be no motivation to find a cure (to grow back
dopamine
neurons), after we this batch all die, there will be no more PD in the world, is that possible?

B1 and Vibrating gloves combination
My WWP has been using the PD Buzzboard gloves for 5 weeks and has been taking 1000mg B1 HCL for several weeks but is finding it difficult to maintain her current dose of
dopamine
meds (8 x 25/100) as her off times seem to be increasing, not diminishing.

Does anyone have a comment about taking a Lecithin supplement for a person with PD?
An imbalance in
dopamine
and acetylcholine is believed to drive Parkinson’s progression." Would this hold true for Lecithin?

Where was I?
Dystonia is caused by low
dopamine
and in more severe cases it’s a symptom of Parkinson’s disease. It’s also significant that the body increases cortisol production to compensate for low
dopamine
. This would explain my ‘preggy belly’ which is at odds with my slim limbs and face.

Rytary update
My afternoon
dopamine
slump is also worse on Rytary, I’m not sure why. Mid afternoon is rough. my MDS suggested adding 1/2 C/L 25/100 around 2:30, and it does help. And taking a lower dose in the evening doesn’t seem to help with sleep. I think Rytary accumulates too much in my system.

Coming off Ropinerol
A family member, after years of taking Ropinerol with resulting augmentation to the point of its no longer having sufficient effect, has abruptly had the prescription for Ropinerol terminated, and another
dopamine
agonist prescribed in its place.
