I have long taken a Lecithin capsule daily for memory enhancement as it is a precursor of acetylcholine. A recent article about PD stated "loss or drop in dopamine levels results in the accumulation of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger nerve cells use to signal muscles to contract, leading to the disease’s typical motor symptoms. An imbalance in dopamine and acetylcholine is believed to drive Parkinson’s progression." Would this hold true for Lecithin?

Does anyone have a comment about taking a Lecithin supplement for a person with PD?
Lecithin contains plenty of choline, an essential vitamin. One would think that is a good thing but unfortunately it is not. I gave up supplementing Lecithin because it was causing me circulatory problems. I published the details as to why here:
Introduction:
"Choline is an essential nutrient that can be converted by gut bacteria into trimethylamine. Trimethylamine is cardiotoxic. Excessive intake of choline or carnitine results in a dramatic increase in the risk of cardiovascular disease."
Thank you park_bear. Your comments are always thoughtful and well-researched. I am puzzled by the lack of consistency in online evaluations of Lecithin. In fact, most of what I have read speak of presumed cognitive benefits that could aid with PD. WebMD is an example: webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingre...
I also think that as an emulsifier, Lecithin may help with cholesterol levels. In spite of this and my long-term use, I am on the verge of discontinuing Lecithin. May I ask what circulatory issues you experienced?
Discomfort and redness in some toes.
Cholesterol has gotten a bad rap as a cause of cardiovascular disease. See my investigation and analysis here: tinyurl.com/y6agl45j
