DBS and Sinemet
I had the DBS surgery last October. After DBS, Sinemet made my PD symptoms worse...especially balance (It's like I am constantly falling forward and my legs are trying to keep up). I told my neurologist about it and she thought is odd that Sinemet would do that. I feel better without the Sinemet.

Flare up after a pretty settled period
Two years ago I had a massive flare and was in a lot of pain / extreme fatigue. I was on prednisolone which was like a magic cure initially and then caused a host of gastric problems. I also trialled methotrexate tablets and methotrexate injections and really struggled with the side effects. After about

DBS surgery to help with “ frozen feet “
I was first diagnosed with PD in 2005, over the years my symptoms were for the most part mild and controlled with meds. However several months ago I developed “ frozen feet “ it has altered my quality of life substantially. I have switched exercise workouts to a stationary bicycle, PT therapy 3 times

OCD and Deep Brain stimulation in New York
Hello! I am new here. Could anyone help me please? I need to find out how much is the approximate cost of the surgery called deep brain stimulation in the state of New York. I would like to opt for that surgery if I qualify as suitable. I hope it's not too expensive. Thank you very much in advance. I

8 months since first post..new results and questions
8 months on from my first noobie post on the forum asking for help. I’m pretty pleased with this, feeling so much better than I did, the advice here has been life changing. Still work to do, very achy, limited capacity to do anything outside of turning up to work/home stuff but that is an improvement

Food Sensitivities
Any advice on working out food sensitivities? I did the “Happy Gut” diet a couple of years ago which is low FODMAP, vegan and gluten-free. I felt great on it initially and was starting to reintroduce foods when I became really anaemic and had to stop (I don’t think vegan is for me!). I have recently

A LOW BUDGET DIY VIBROTACTILE STIMULATOR FOR EXPERIMENTAL CRS
Modern techniques of Coordinated Reset Stimulation (CRS), which is usually administered with invasive deep brain stimulation, can have a miraculous effect on those suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Diagnosed with ARLD cirrhosis decompensated July 2022. Any helpful tips or advice would be greatly appreciated
I presented to GP with ascities, jaundice and pain in around abdomen. Sent me straight to hospital. Had not been feeling well for a year or so and was putting it down to perhaps the start of menopause or heamacromatosis which is in my family. Wondering if anyone has any tips for pain relief while pregnant? I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and today I've really struggled with pain across my entire back, to the point I've laid in bed sobbing tonight. My usual go to would be deep heat/voltarol/ibuprofen gel but none are able to be used during

Painful sciatica
Hi. I have spondylosthesis (bulging disc), L5 area and, having seen a surgeon at the Whittington Hospital, am now on a waiting list for facet joint injections.
