Ankles swelling - drink, but take a diuretic?
My ankles have been swelling for a while. Different doctors tell me its from different causes. My cardiologist tells me to take a water pill and I'm in the bathroom every 20 minutes for at least five hours. My internist tells me to drink. Doesn't one cancel the other? The more I drink, the more

HBA1C test results
Hey, so 6 months ago I had my HBA1C test and it came back at 43mmol/mol, had it repeated three months ago, it had gone up to 46. The docs said I was prediabetic and gave me all the info on what to do to eat healthy etc. I do eat healthily and exercise anyway. My most recent test came back at 38, which

Discontinuing Acarbose
My orthostatic and postprandial hypotensions: I have continued to study Acarbose. The words Acarbose and Pharmacokinetics are useful. What Acarbose does is redistribute when sugar is released. That process provides a continuous supply of sugar, which is a primary inducer of postprandial hypotension [

Weight loss and what I've learned
As long as I can remember I have always had a problem managing my weight. Now at the age of 58, 6ft 2" and 17.5 stone people have said I carried it off well and believe they were being polite, saying I'm tall so it didn't matter too much. However, I have always known this wasn't ideal but losing weight

Proof for those that need it that running is good for you
I have type 2 diabetes and in July 2017 my HbA1c was 82 (not good). My doctor told me I needed to take action, so by doing more walking and cutting down on what I ate I managed to reduce it to 48 by May 2018. The doctor suggested I could improve it even further by getting my heart rate up and 'get a
