HBA1C test results

Hey, so 6 months ago I had my HBA1C test and it came back at 43mmol/mol, had it repeated three months ago, it had gone up to 46. The docs said I was prediabetic and gave me all the info on what to do to eat healthy etc. I do eat healthily and exercise anyway. My most recent test came back at 38, which they say is normal.

I've just had surgery for a pre-existing condition (endometriosis) after the second test. So been recovering between the second and most recent test so my diet hasn't been amazing.

Can existing conditions which affect oestrogen affect blood sugar? In an indirect way. It was on my bowel and has been removed so could that affect sugar levels?
