A week of withdrawal from running
Well Monday last week was the week we found out how well my shoulder had healed! In the words of the consultant it’s tried to heal it’s self but it has healed! After 6months it should have unified but it hasn’t! So now we are going to try ultrasound therapy for the next 3 - 6 months to get it to heal

WOW, noticing today, after some weak days at 5mg prednisone, I am again feeling good and energetic, added meth and hydroxy dropped metformin
I was at 5 a few weeks go, but too hastily dropped and went to 2.5, and on the 3rd day at 2.5 felt terrible. Jumped back to 10 and then 7.5. And since I have gone back to 5, after maybe a week at 5, I am again feeling great, better than I did the last time I was at 5. There are some differences now,

In reply to my thread I said that I would issue an update as to what is going on and why I am not on the forum that often. As a recap I had a quadruple bypass in 2018, left leg amputated below the knee during the 2020 lockdowns and revision surgery last summer. Because I waited around 18 months for

Graves Disease
Hi, I have type 2 diabetes, I was over-prescribed metformin which had its horrors. When I came off it I was quickly diagnosed with thyroxicosis and hypercalcemia. Saw the endocrinologist yesterday. |He sat there and said do you know what you have wrong with you, then he told me I had Graves disease

Sugar
As sugar has always been a problem for me with migraines and afib, I decided to cut down drastically a couple of weeks ago particularly my habit of tucking into chocolate while watching TV in the evening. I read somewhere that it is better if you can avoid sugar in the mornings. However I notice now

Update and no news from hospital
It's been a few weeks now since I embarked on my calorie deficit healthy eating and coffee journey. I had a birthday in June and I did say bad eating for a week. Well in turned into 2 ½ weeks as I was taken out by friends several times. However, I have now lost 10kg. I am so happy with this progress.

Berberine and Levothyroxine
Hi This is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about taking berberine with levothyroxine. I am currently taking 100mcg of levo daily. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes which I try and control with a low carb diet. However my blood sugar seems to be rising

Think I have broken my brain ?
Weird brain day, started looking into if any Liverpool GP's prescribe T3. Thanks to a link on another post. Then thought hang on lets check B12 levels and if they affect HbA1c, if Metformin affects B12, before I knew what was happening I have spent hours checking everything. Head is spinning,

High sugar level for diabetes 2 usually have side effects for change of medication have been on metformin for diabetes 2 for three years no problem there. Anybody had side effects for above mixture, I have a combination of other medical conditions so a bit wary there might be some reactions, eg, osteoporosis

Is going gluten free worth it and achievable?
Hi, lots of times I see advice here to go gluten free. Be really interested to hear what people think. Is it’s really worth it and is it achievable? At the moment I’m far from gluten free. I love wholewheat pasta and sourdough. I tested negative for celiac disease but my genes were analyzed as part

Anybody doing 'The Full Diet'?
Hi Everyone Just wondered if anyone is losing weight via "The Full Diet" ? Its a book /method written by Saira Hameed, an NHS Consultant. Its all about going back to basics on eating - cutting out highly processed foods, eating within an eating window and reducing carbs. Its an interesting read
