A week of withdrawal from running

Well Monday last week was the week we found out how well my shoulder had healed!

In the words of the consultant it’s tried to heal it’s self but it has healed! After 6months it should have unified but it hasn’t!

So now we are going to try ultrasound therapy for the next 3 - 6 months to get it to heal! If this fails we will have to do a shoulder replacement! I knew it was coming but I still hoped it had healed!

So didn’t feel like running Monday evening after that!

Tuesday I did do the walking group which was nice!

Work decided I had to go out and train a person on my delivery route ( I am a postie)

Which wasn’t very easy i over used my shoulder trying to get things into frame getting the bundles from the back of the van and parcels! By Thursday I was in a lot of pain again so running was not an option as I needed to rest it! Today I am back on my desk duty which is much better for my shoulder!

The run club we’re doing a run to a pub for drinks then run back a total of 10k! So a small group of us decided we weren’t up for that so we arranged to go for a walk /run tonight!

5 of us in total!

We met up at the start of the park run route and all decided to do a walk instead!

We decided to walk along the river to the next village and back which worked out around 6k!

The run with the run club was cancelled due to the bad weather made the conditions on the trailed slippery!

We had a lovely time chatting our way round!

🍏When life gives you lemons 🍋 make lemonade! Such a positive turn around from what could have been a very negative reaction. Well done! Who doesn’t love a Postie! Thank you to you and all posties for the hours spent keeping us in touch with our families, our bills and our parcels!
