Recurrent thrush
I am at a loss what to do, I have type 2
diabetes
but
diet
controlled for 3 years and recent HbA1c was 33 so not caused by high blood sugars. I feel dirty and uncomfortable all the time, is there anything else I can do?

Dagnosed Prediabetic?
I was recently summoned by my surgery to have a Haemoglobin A1c level blood test for type 2 diabetes, which apparently I had 3 years ago, but do not recollect at all. The result was that it was 42 mmol/mol (whatever that means?) an increase from 41 in 2018. The standard range for non-diabetic is 20.0

Update on dosage/diet having seen Rheumatologist
Hi everyone, saw my rheumy again last night and told him I had increased back up to 12.5mg because of the pain when I dropped to 10mg. He agreed that it was the right thing to do but was very careful to point out that it takes 7-10 days for your body to adjust to the new dose and not to jump too quickly

Let’s start our week with healthy eating awareness! ❤️☀️☮️☯️🌻🧘🏻♀️🌈🙏
For instance, most adults with
diabetes
have to count the amount of carbs allowed in their
diet
: 45-60 grams of carbs per meal and 15-20 grams per snack. Dietary fiber, vitamin D, calcium, iron ad potassium are nutrients on the label that Americans generally do not get the recommended amount of.

Follow up on my post Diflucan issue.
As I wrote in another post the Diflucan given to me for thrush seem to have reduced my adrenal function to the point where I needed to go back up to 10 mg for a few days. This was accompanied by very low blood sugar. So I tried to go down after about three days on 10 mg going down a milligram a day 9,8,7

Post transplant diabetes
Hi, I am just over 3 years post transplant and just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Is there anything that transplant patients have to do differently to regular diabetics ? Is anyone else in the same boat as me ?

wiped out after second pfizer jab
Ten days after my second pfizer jab i went dowhill rather quickly. Exhaustion, stiffness and pain in lower back, buttocks and groin. I have been getting flares regularly over the last year, this seems to be much worse. I've gone up to 21mgs deflazacort which doesn't seem to do much. I'm left pretty

IBS, headaches and diabetes
I wondered if this is a sign of
diabetes
? I struggle to eat a healthy
diet
as most healthy foods flare up IBS D. I wanted to try low carb but every time I try it flares up IBS D symptoms. For example I can’t eat eggs, fatty foods or Greek yogurt as I get a flare. So I feel like I am in catch 22.

Protein
Protein. A lot is made of the need for high protein and yet: " a high protein diet is bad for you. Growth hormone pathways, including TOR and IGF-1, are controlled by proteins and they are accelerators of the aging process. So, if you have a low-protein diet you might live longer and healthier." https

Protein Considerations
A couple of weeks ago I posted that I'd been knocked back for a blood donation. That got my attention. I also mentioned that I hadn't been eating too much meat of late. Thinking back I realised I'd got into a bad habit of just grabbing a piece of cheese, a few nuts and cups of coffee with double cream
