As I wrote in another post the Diflucan given to me for thrush seem to have reduced my adrenal function to the point where I needed to go back up to 10 mg for a few days. This was accompanied by very low blood sugar. So I tried to go down after about three days on 10 mg going down a milligram a day 9,8,7,when I got down I couldn’t make it at six. I am now on 6.75 and really drag but slowly improving daily. This is very discouraging and rather scary. Before this episode with Diflucan I was on 4 1/2 4.75 mg for almost a year and managing but not perfect. I never have PMR pain it’s just cortisol drag. So I just have to soldier forward in the meantime I do have my blood sugars stabilized by eating a certain way - small meals more protein.

It may be worth waiting until you get over the thrush. I had adrenal problems without Diflucan and did find that unless the symptoms get really bad it is better to stick at it and stay at the same dose until the symptoms improve. It can take quite a while.

Thanks. I think I’m over the thrush. It’s been many days since I stopped Diflucan. That’s the weird part.

In that case perhaps it is just the adrenal glands. I know in my case they were pretty upset at being woken up.
