Fasting results help

Hi all! I'm new here. I have not officially been diagnosed with diabetes, however I have hypothyroidism and premature ovarian failure. My holistic Dr. recommended that I get a meter and monitor my glucose. I bought one and the first few mornings of last week it read anywhere between 97-112. I started a lower carbohydrate diet this week. As of yesterday my morning fasting glucose was 138. Today my fasting glucose was 148. Is it the diet? Other times pre meal and post meal seem to be within the guidelines I have read online. Should I go in for a glucose test with a Dr.? Is the 148 fasting way too high? I'm a little concerned. Thank you

Is it dangerously high? How concerned should I be? Should I go to a Dr. for possible diagnosis?
