No sleep and pain getting worse
Changed to 4mg of
Dexamethasone
2 weeks ago. I now wake up at 3:00 am every morning and the pain is coming back in epic proportions. Round the hips and down thighs now being the worst. Lack of sleep and increased pain are dragging down my energy and mood.

Zytiga and Xtandi .... what do you think about this?
He now has a prescription for 1/2 tablet of decadrone (
Dexamethasone
) and he has been told he will be on it as long as he is on Xtandi. I am trying to find out if anyone has heard of this as a SE or has had this type of experience?

cortisol levels
Hi This is my first time on here, I was just wondering if somebody could please tell me if 27 is considered normal for a cortisol level after doing a 2 x 24hr urine testing and taking 8mg of
dexamethasone
suppression test. I was also told that my thyroid levels was 9.7.

Here we go again! Next stop - private?
Didn't think I was (I have put on a horrible amount of weight since last year 2.5 stone now) I did the
dexamethasone
cortisol test as the Endo wanted to test for Cushings.

What a farce! Here are some results anyway!
I had the
dexamethasone
cortisol test done - which is why I had my bloods done in the morning at my surgery as I had to take the tablets at midnight.

So it's not Cushings! (no surprise there)
So I got my bloods done last week and I had the test done for Cushings with the overnight
dexamethasone
test.

high cortisol..Can anyone advise?
If Cushings syndrome is suspected, consider overnight 1mg
dexamethasone
suppression test. A common cause of elevated cortisol in women is the use of exogenous oestrogen (eg CCP, HRT)" I was using HRT but finished about 3-4 months ago. What is CCP?

Todays endo visit
He has ordered loads of bloods, including TPO, and a
dexamethasone
overnight test for cortisol. He has also ordered an endoscopy as he can see no reason for my iron being so low (not looking forward to that, had one before!) I see him again in 4 months.

Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (bendamustine)
Treatment began using Leukkeran (chlorambucil)
dexamethasone
and allopurinol. Had 5 treatments from October 2007 to February 2008. WBC started increasing so treatment stopped. Back to W&W. In July 2008 began treatment using Rituxan and Cytoxan.

I started treatment with VAD chemo, but recently switched to Bortezomib and

New endo appointment and new blood results - help appreciated :)
He's asking my GP to do the
dexamethasone
test so they'll probably say no and I'll have to trek back to London for it! Anyway what I did like was that he said that 1 in 10 people don't feel well again on Levo (he's the first person that has ever admitted that!!!)

Introducing Myself
In the past, I have been teated with Revlimid, Velcade, Kyprolis, Pomalyst and the ever popular,
Dexamethasone
. Currently, I am in a clinical trial taking Panobinostat, MLN9708 and Dex. We hope to get my numbers down so that I can proceed to a RIC Allogeneic stem cell transplant.

Cyclosporin
Hi all Having tried and failed with: Azathioprine, Rituximab, IvIG, N-Plate, Eltrombopag, Predisolone, MMF and
Dexamethasone
. I am tapering my prednisone so that I am off it shortly and will then begin Cyclosporin. Anyone any experience with this? Has it worked? Side effects?
