Cut in dexamethasone
Husband has been on prednisone and then
dexamethasone
along with Zytiga for 2 years and 8 months. My worry is his adrenal glands won’t function as we are having to wean him off the dex due to water retention. Any thoughts? Dex has been 9 months. Stopping zytiga as well for now.

Please help........new patient
Have tried Prednisone, IVIG,
Dexamethasone
Revolade and now Rituximab. My platelets have always been 100-137 prior to Dec. I had a very bad bladder infection and platelets dropped to 1 and have not recovered. I have had no episodes of bleeding. Could I have been misdiagnosed?

Out of Nivolumab/Opdivo Clinical Trial
He was allowed a short break from the trial to allow his mouth to heal (he is using oral
Dexamethasone
rinse) but since he still had signs of stomatitis, his MO told him at our visit on May 27 that he was taking him out of the trial because he was concerned that the stomatitis might become permanent

What’s Next?
My father started Zytiga in 2019, he switched from prednisone to
dexamethasone
as well. His PSA was fluctuating between 0.03-0.05. Then it rose to 0.07, stayed stable then it rose to 0.11. Today’s checkup indicated his PSA rose to 0.19.

Sensitive teeth
Have any of you on Zytiga and
dexamethasone
experienced sensitivity in your teeth? I get a three month injection of Xgeva, therefore am concerned about any dental problems that might creep up.

New study may help explain low oxygen levels in COVID-19 patients
The study also shows why the anti-inflammatory drug
dexamethasone
has been an effective treatment for those with the virus. “Low blood-oxygen levels have been a significant problem in COVID-19 patients,” said study lead Shokrollah Elahi, associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

I have had ITP for 5 months and no medications have helped....Prednisone, Dexamethasone (very temporary) Revolade and Rituximab. IVIG ???
Has anyone here been having IVIG infusions on a regular basis (perhaps every three weeks) rather than having a splenectomy?

Water weight gain with Zytiga and dexamethasone.
Anyone being taken off Zytiga due to heart issues? Husband has gained a lot of water weight due to an issue with his heart perhaps caused by the Zytiga. Thoughts?

Continuing discussion of Adaptive Theory-- Why does early chemotherapy result in lower response rates to Lu-177 and immunotherapy??
Would it be better to use SOC plus abiraterone first with prednisone, then change to SOC plus abiraterone with
dexamethasone
next using other options like SBRT for slowing down the adaptation of PCa cells?? Have I stormed the castle, created a hornets nest of controversy today??

Leg Pain
The pain he is currently feeling lies in his legs, they put him on a course of
dexamethasone
and he is currently on a mixture of painkillers, none of which seem to be alleviating the pain. They have just today said they will swap his cocodamol for morphine.

Different sick day rules for Covid
I’ve wondered many times , why I was heading into ITU , until I was put on IV
Dexamethasone
. I wasn’t scared either, happy to not feel sick . I improved dramatically within hours , even with pneumonia . One of the staff told the doctors I’d gone from a level 8 to 3 .

Cause of fluctuating Cortisol Results ?
A
Dexamethasone
test results noted suppression down to a cortisol level of 59, still slightly above target, I'm taking the wording from letters at the time, don't profess to fully understand. Endo suggested I was depressed nothing to do with my thyroid.

Help and advice please.
He was prescribed
dexamethasone
and was discharged from hospital 12 days after the event. He was weaned off the
dexamethasone
over the following 3 weeks, that is a week ago now. Since then, he complains of feeling weak and is sleeping a lot during the day.

AMG Clinical Trial Update
I asked them if we could eliminate or reduce the
Dexamethasone
. They reached out to the sponsor and got permission to stop the steroids. It made a big difference in the way I felt. I may have been slightly achier for 24 hours, but it was a great trade.

ITP after COVID vaccine
Prednisone, platelet transfusion, IVIG,
dexamethasone
and now I'm looking at Rituximab. This almost seems worse than CLL!

Dexamethasone and Enzalutamide
They have also prescribed him
dexamethasone
. I have read there is a moderate interaction meaning that it decreases effectiveness of the Enzalutamide. Does anyone know of this and should it be of concern? Thanks as always
