Super clumsy
I am on
dexamethasone
every three days so prone to bruises anyway but my clumsiness is really irritating. I suspect it’s because I have paraesthesia in my hands and feet. On Sunday, it’s always the weekend isn’t it, I was clearing the table and dropped some secateurs. They brushed my leg.

Next step: Jevtana or Xofigo?
(I'm also going to push to switch to
dexamethasone
before we give up on Zytiga.) Dr. Hussain sounded like she favors Xofigo. I'm very concerned about going to Xofigo next given its tendency to hit platelets and dad's already low numbers.

Covid-19 & Dexamethasone
Article in the NY Times today [1]. Seems that if dexy is given before the body goes into mutual destruction mode - i.e. the cytokine storm - it can increase mortality risk. Makes perfect sense. We want to stimulate the immune system until the last moment & dampen it thereafter. (This was discussed

Hip replacement so far so good
The anaesthetist gave me a large boost of
dexamethasone
in case of adrenal insufficiency. Within an hour of the op I was walking to the loo and an hour or 2 later was able to walk up and down stairs.

PSA levels rising, Oncologist says to consider alternatives
I am switching to
dexamethasone
from 5mg of prednisone immediately. He is looking into Cosmic clinical trial to see if I qualify, and considering Xtandi, Taxotere, and Jevtana. I have tolerated Firmagon and Zytiga comparatively well, and feel good with plenty of energy.

Hoping to have a Covid free right eye, now
dexamethasone
has been found to be an authorised effective treatment for Covid 19 These are eye drops I use twice a day to prevent a corneal graft rejecting. (Recently that had been every hour- because I had a rejection episode).

As the Dorzolamide/Timolol has
Dexamethasone
in it, could this have upset my adrenal glands. I would be grateful for help that any one can give me.

Replacing prednisolone with dexamethasone to help Zytiga lower PSA
Hi Everybody out there, could somebody point me to any study where prednisolone was replaced with
dexamethasone
(while taking Zytiga. Will the switch be likely to make any difference to help lower PSA? Thank you all.

Need ideas post Xtandi and Zytiga
He has been on Zytiga with
dexamethasone
and we knew his PSA was rising. It jumped 5 points in 6 weeks to 15.16 so the doc said to stop Zytiga and dexa and pretty much accept that there are no more treatment options for my 76 yo. I have never liked this doc’s attitude but he’s convenient.

Question on all freeze cycles
Hi, I am wondering why some of us were given steroids on all freeze cycles (
Dexamethasone
or prednisolone) Without transfer, there is no risk of autoimmune reaction on implantation. I know that steroids are not in fashion until covid is resolved but I would like to understand the rationale.

Dexamethasone mouth rinse.
Has anyone taken this? It’s to prevent mouth sores/ulcers in mouth. I just started taking it. Dosage is 4 times each day. Wondering how long to wait between between each dose? I started this yesterday but only had time for 2 doses since I had to wait to take it after taking cancer meds. Today I took
