Auximen scan shows significant new cancerous activity and last post about my brother
At the moment, I consider this a warm escalation of cancerous growth that needs a prompt response since the Zytiga, Firmagon,
Dexamethasone
, treatment is failing. While I would like to have gotten more than 17 months, this is not a surprising development.

Did anyone experience severe headaches with Promacta?
I don't think it is related to
Dexamethasone
because I took
Dexamethasone
before and never experienced severe headaches like this.

PSA went from 0.05 to 0.07
My dad’s PSA has been rising as he is on Zytiga, the doctor is switching him from prednisone to
dexamethasone
to see if the PSA stabilizes. Anybody had success with this switch? Is this a good route to go?

PSA hit double digits, business is better, it is hospice for my brother, and I had a 2 hour and 10-minute elliptical session. 10.6 miles.
I take Zytiga (generic) with
Dexamethasone
and get monthly Firmagon shots for ADT. In any event, my current oncologist doesn’t really believe in the Auximen scan, but I have three previous years of this particular scan as reference points. So I think that is what he will recommend.

Suspected Covid-19
The consultant then arrived and said the x ray showed fluffy lungs, which were filled with virus and couldn't say for sure, but was most likely to be Covid, She could admit me and do a Covid test, and treat me with
Dexamethasone
if it was confirmed. However, we diagnose on symptoms here!

Undiagnosed: Would dexamethasone shots help if it were PMR?
Y’all already helped with one question, so I’ll try another. Due to at first misdiagnosed hip bursitis, I received steroid shot in hip bursa last year. Got some relief, but everything came back. Further testing and they think OA and hip degeneration. So I took conservative approach and get intraarticular

Zytiga with dexamethasone
Has anyone had success in changing from prednisone to
dexamethasone
? And if so how much longer did you get to stay on the Zytiga? Just wondering as I have read about many men changing to
dexamethasone
but I haven’t read success stories. Thank you!

Pain flare prophylaxis--Dr. Sartor high testosterone therapy--
So, is it possible that
Dexamethasone
can be used briefly right before getting the high testosterone injections? Can the
Dexamethasone
prevent the high testosterone injection from not working as it ought to?

Adult-onset asthma and Cushing
I am seeing an Endo now, she tested for Cushing with overnight
dexamethasone
1mg. I tested and it is normal (12 nmol/l). Normal is less than 50. The thing is, I took Seretide (total 4 pumps from 11pm-8am) and today I just realised Seretide is a steroid drug.

Hope to be helpful
I shed every single
dexamethasone
pound comfortably 2. My girlfriend was able to be by my side each day, even though others were prohibited because of COVID. Having a nurse clean you is painful mentally. 3.

Better outcomes in severe COVID-19 patients administered interleukin-6 inhibitors early.
Published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, the results show Interleukin-6 inhibitors appear to be a more effective treatment compared to other options, including remedesvir and
dexamethasone
, which are recommended and currently used in the pandemic. https://www.bmc.org/news/press-releases

Methylprednisolone bolus injections MAY help with COVID19 ..similar idea of suppressing immune system in severe cases but

Hesitation before switching from Abiraterone to some other protocol.
I switched from prednisone to
dexamethasone
in the last week of June.
Dexamethasone
is more powerful and more uncomfortable than prednisone. I am more fatigued and my glucose is higher. It is manageable. I don't understand the increase in WBC and the decrease in RBC.

The Lancet article in full
Second, it could be hard to show the effect of a micronutrient over and above
dexamethasone
, which has potent anti-inflammatory actions and now represents the standard of care in severe disease.

Super clumsy
I am on
dexamethasone
every three days so prone to bruises anyway but my clumsiness is really irritating. I suspect it’s because I have paraesthesia in my hands and feet. On Sunday, it’s always the weekend isn’t it, I was clearing the table and dropped some secateurs. They brushed my leg.

Next step: Jevtana or Xofigo?
(I'm also going to push to switch to
dexamethasone
before we give up on Zytiga.) Dr. Hussain sounded like she favors Xofigo. I'm very concerned about going to Xofigo next given its tendency to hit platelets and dad's already low numbers.
