Severe uncontrollable itching
This is across my shoulders just below my pecs ,sometimes shins/ankles and other times forearms/wrists. It has resently developed into a rash with minor breaking of skin itching. I have kept it somewhat controlled with hydrocortisone. Where should i start searching for a cause? Sinimet? Anyone else

No energy at all.
I'm male, almost 31, diagnosed with AMN and adrenal insufficiency almost two years ago. I have no energy. Just none. I get ten hours of sleep most nights and still feel exhausted in the morning. I saw my endocrinologist last Monday and he ordered blood tests. My testosterone and thyroid are fine, but

Off topic - can our hormone supplements affect our pets?
Hello everyone - it may seem an odd question, but: My five month old Boston Terrier is overexcited, won't sleep, bites me (badly) all the time and generally shows the behaviour of an older pup. The animal therapist (yes, until a month ago I made fun of people who needed a therapist for their pets...!

HELP!! Can not stop scratching!!
Hello, I don't have a clue as to what is going on with my skin. I am severely itchy from head to toe and can't stop scratching!! There is no rash of any kind on my body. I really don't understand what is going on. First Detmatologist did skin biopsy and it came back as eczema. The second Dermatologist

The Paul Briggs Story
Every so often a case comes before a court that highlights why a universal, common sense approach to recording people's health and care preferences, values and wishes could save enormous anxiety. This is the story of Paul Briggs. A court is being asked to decide whether he can be allowed to die. I wouldn't

Hello! I suffer with hypothyroid due to hypopituitary (also causing adrenal insufficiency). My hydrocortisone levels are fine, so I'm taking only what my adrenals need. My consultant tells me my thyroid levels are normal (?what they're though). However, I'm still putting on weight 😢 Started slimming

Shingles and fucidin
I have shingles since 24th Dec. Some are still weeping on my back despite being treated with Acicllovir. My GP has prescribed Fucidin today. When I applied it the shingles have become redder and stinging. I saw on one website that Fucidin is not recommended for shingles. Advice please.

entirely unable to tollerate levothyroxin
First, sorry If I can't reply to any replys, on this post; I'm blind, and using my screenreader, the 'edit box' to type a reply in, seems inaccessible to me. I'm two years now, DX panhypopit, and a bit less than a year on thyroid meds, having been on Hydrocortisone, and now prednisolone, for my cortosol

Thoughts on my labs?
Interested in your thoughts on my labs... I have Hashimotos, am on gluten free diet, my vitamin D, folate, and B12 are all high normal and selenium and iodine are normal. Ferritin is high, but due to other issues. My adrenals are a work in progress, am on hydrocortisone, adrenal support, and appropriate

Fibromyalgia 27 years but maybe Lupus now?
Hello all. My name is Mega. Short for Megapodius. Mega Fauna, big feet. Ha. Name just appealed to me somehow. Down to business then. Fibromyalgia symptoms seemed to change mid 2016 after not much change for decades. There's lots more backstory but let's save that for later. So I am now full of

Eleven Year battle with cancer -Neuro Endocrine. This was a rare type but is now classed as lesser known. I also work for Cancer Research UK
The below story is my eleven years in full. This should hopefully explain the highs and lows during this time. This has been used by my local MP who has taken it forward to the health department to hopefully obtain a substantive response as to why the drug has been removed from the NICE list? My story

I Seem To Have 90% Cured Myself After Having Asthma/Eczema From Birth 47yrs Ago. The last 10% I think Is In My Mind.
It's my first post and I don't write here lightly, I have been pondering posting for some time but wanted to see if what was happening to me was was not a short term effect. I do not want to create false hope, I am certainly no medical professional and you should read what I write only as purely my own
