Could I have dermatomyositis?
Firstly let me apologise for the length of this. I know it's not a good idea to ask for diagnoses on here, but I have a VERY long wait ahead of me here to see a rheumatologist (6 months!) and wondered if I might get a head's up. I asked to be referred because I suspected psoriatic arthritis. This was

Weight gain from asthma meds
Hi everyone, I am trying to pinpoint exactly which medicine has made me put on so much weight this year. I’ve been on many more prednisone bursts than usual (but none for two months now). My adrenal glands are struggling so my doctor put me on 20 mg of hydrocortisone daily. I also started xolair in April

Why is the skin on my penis shiny/scaly?
I'm completely baffled by it. I just have no idea why it's like this. It's like a scaly/crystal like texture, and when you shine light on it you can see it really badly. At first I thought the skin might just be dry? But I've been using E45 cream twice a day for months now and it's not done anything.

Hi everyone, My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 nsclc in October 2015. After unsuccessful treatment with chemotherapy she was referred to palliative care by her previous consultant. I went private to get a second opinion and found a great consultant who enrolled her on a early access to medicine

Changing from Prednisolone to Hydrocortisone?
I was having problems with tapering with pred I’m down to 5mg but getting further has been challenging. I saw my Endocrinologist this week and talked about my adrenal function whether it was kicking in and how I was feeling rough to say the least even after being on the 5mgs for several weeks. He suggested

Adrenal insufficiency - jitters/shakes in night and morning
First of all can I apologize to anybody who has answered any of my posts and I haven't got back to them. I'm really sorry and I do appreciate any answers that I get. I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency by my rheumatologist in August after a long hard fight and put onto emergency level of hydrocortisone

Question re calories and LCHF diet
Could someone advise whether one has to count calories on a LCHF diet. Ive lost 4lb since starting this week and don't want to stop the process- have not been counting carbs at all. Have eaten a lot but within an eight hour window. Thanks for advice!

It’s been a loooong night 😴😴
It all started Sunday when I woke with a cold which my gut told me was going to hit my chest. But it’s 10am and I’m just snotty and sinusy and a mild asthma issue. Treat it and reassure my mum (who’d I’d been visiting) I’m not bad enough for hosp. Make my 12 o’clock train and feel dodgy enough I need

Having a panic attack over health anxiety
I was at work yesterday (in a kitchen) and I got a small blister on my finger. It popped and the skin came off without me realising and I had to continue to work washing dishes, cleaning etc. Anyway, I have health anxiety and it's really hurting, throbbing and feels hot and I'm currently having a panic

Timelines/ palliative care
Hello, sadly I have just been told there is no more treatment for my mum, the cancer has spread in her shoulder bone, brain, lymph nodes and abdomen. The dr has not given us any timeline, I’m just wondering what happens next? I think the palliative care team take over as contact at the moment I’m not

Sadly, Christmas isn't fun for everyone
What will you be eating this Christmas? Tom's been eating 900 calories a day since his bariatric surgeon gave him an intragastric balloon. Arthur can barely remember a day when he wasn't on some sort of diet. And Lizzie is still the same weight she always was, despite obsessively weighing herself every
