End stage COPD palliative care
My Dad has end stage COPD and is now being treated at home as palliative care. I just don't know what to expect and I think that's what I'm struggling with. Dad's oxygen sats are currently 77-81% with no oxygen. I have oxygen for him but it's only to make him comfortable as he is at risk of type 2 respiratory

In focus: complementary therapies - acupuncture
Hello This week in our month of ‘Health in Focus’ posts on complementary therapies, we’ll be looking at acupuncture. Acupuncture involves inserting very fine needles just below the skin at particular points thought to be helpful to the body. These points are called acupuncture points and can be anywhere

Anyone taking Darolutamide develope asthenia, a known side effect? I've read similar SEs with Xtandi, so is this with all lutamide drugs?
My husband, who is mCRPC started Darolutamide 1 month ago. Shortly after, he started to become more weak in his legs, esp his knees. Last week, after taking Darolutamide for 3-1/2 weeks he suddenly developed asthenia (abnormal physical weakness or lack of energy). I had to run out and buy him a walker

Monday round up
Good morning everyone. It seems such a short time since I was saying this last week, I can hardly believe another week of the year’s gone and March is here already. I enjoyed some cold but bright weather here over the weekend, interspersed with the inevitable rain, but on Sunday morning I was so delighted

Overhead my onco being reprimanded last week. I am sure it was about me. Very long, venting. Feel free NOT to read.
I was finally referred to a palliative team which also consisted of a pain specialist for my severe back pain which makes it almost impossible to walk a full block without crying and having to stop and lean against something. I do not drive so I have no choice but to walk. It go so bad that I basically

I am sure you will think I am going mad but can anyone suggest a possible explanation for my VERY itchy ears!!! It is so annoying, I have tried vaseline, hydrocortisone cream but nothing helps. Chilblains or ulcers?
I’m getting lots of painful bumps on my hands/fingers at the moment (see photo). Are these chillblains or ulcers? I’m on sildenifil for my raynauds but wondering if I need to do something more?! I have a bad chillblain on my toe but using balmosa cream for this.

Balanitis/Fungal/Bacterial Infection - Solution Found
After 1 year of misery, I have cured myself. The solution/cure that worked for myself: Fucidin ointment 2%, applied on the glans and foreskin once a day for two weeks. For those that are interested, here is my story: It all started after I used my fleshlight the second time. I didn't clean it after
