Jaw pain could this be GCA
I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I had PMR for about 3 years and it finally went into remission. I was unable to stop steroids completely due to having acquired adrenaline sufficiency. So I'm now taking a very low dose of hydrocortisone three times a day. But I've been experiencing a great

Eczema around eyes - Any Treatment advice?
Hi! Several months ago I started noticing red marks on my eyelids and above my eyes. This was during an asthma flare up. The doctor has since confirmed it's eczema and it's the first time I've experienced this. I was given Hydrocortisone cream (1%) which I used for 2 courses and this has cleared it up

Have just been diagnosed with bronchomalacia on top of asthma and adrenal insufficiency
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has the same conditions as me. Over the last 14 months I've been hospitalised 5 times and treated with 300mls of hydrocortisone and antibiotics intravenously. As I have acquired adrenal insufficiency my poor body takes ah awful blow and when I come down from the steroids

Brief update on my lower Intestinal Tract Capsule Endoscopy.
Just to let you know that the procedure went fine. Although the camera was a little larger than an Omega 3 high strength capsule, I found that with the right mindset I swallowed it easily. The staff were a little disconcerted about my long term steroid use and the possibility of an adrenal crisis and

Failed tumour surgery, what are my options now?

Air fryer?
I've been eating LCHF for 4 years, and have experienced many health benefits from it. But while eating high fat, I have never turned to deep fried foods. That's mostly because I am not prepared to deep fry in my home, and outside the oil is mostly seed oils, that is highly recycled. Thus I have been

T3 and dropping cortisol levels
Since starting on T3 6 weeks ago my morning cortisol level has dropped. I know that Paul Robinson says that taking T3 cannot affect cortisol levels. I am trying to understand what might be going on before I see my consultant next Thursday. I am here talking about 9am serum tests because that is what

Well, so much for feeling normal....
Some of you may have read my long story on the Enhertu infusion. I have it in my lungs, spine and then it spread to my liver and the next treatment (Xeloda, I think) and after three months still progression. If you have the time, grab a cup of coffee and read. OR, if you are having trouble sleeping

Update on surgery and remission - still doing good - enrolling in a clinical trial, I hope
I had surgery December 13th. They took 14 inches of my colon due to recurrent diverticulitis. And good they did. 5 inches was narrow and stiff and not functioning at all, as I also had a benign but inlfammed tumor over my bladder. So a lot of chronic inflammation has been going on for years they said

Change from Ropinerole to Rigotine patches
I saw a new Neurologist at my local hospital last week as my RLS has been made worse by the chemo I am on. I am stage 4 and Palliative care for Sarcoma with mets in liver, chest wall and spine. I told him I can’t wean off Ropinerole so he suggested changing to Rigotine patches which, as I also have IBS

Question to my NJ sisters
I got to the point that I can’t stay with my oncologist any more for many reasons. One of them is that she doesn’t see me as a patient, but just as cancer. No symptoms that could be seen as a sign of cancer or side effect of the therapy are of interest. After I was hospitalized for urosepsis and anemia

Chemo head rash (or maybe NUBEQA)
I don’t see a lot of posts in this form about developing a rash on your scalp after chemo. Looking for any home remedies or OTC products others who’ve experienced this might suggest. My scalp started itching on Friday (day 8 after first docetaxel), then on Saturday a bunch of red bumps appeared

😪😡😪 Need to vent.
So palliative care and the transplant team have asked the gp to provide particular care and meds, have they NO!!! Can I make an appointment to speak to a gp? NO!!! The only thing to reduce me to tears is trying to deal with the incompetence of my gp surgery.
