Cortisol results question

So I've been looking again at my cortisol test results.

After looking on this website rt3-adrenals.org/cortisol_t... , which I see quoted with some frequency on this website, it gives examples of cortisol results.

My results were:

AM: 12 (7-30) 21% through range

Noon: 5 (2.1-14) 24.40% through range

Evening: 1.4 (1.5-8) -3.10% through range

Bedtime: 0.36 (0 .33-7) 0.40% through range

From the website:

Example 3

Morning less than 50% of range; all other levels low

• No evidence adrenals can catch up production

• Usually requires a physiologic replacement dose of hydrocortisone

I think it's important to note that in another example the phrase 'all other levels below range' is used so my results do fit this example as low but not below range.

How accurate is this? I suppose more specifically, how seriously do I need to take this?

I've just done a repeat Cortisol test but in the meantime my monkey mind is chattering. :D

Personally I'd be looking at the graphic, I've taken it from your previous post and included it below.

rT3 adrenals say:

Optimal levels

• Morning at the top of the range

• Noon approximately 75% of the range

• Evening close to 50% of the range

• Nighttime at the bottom of the range

You actually follow the curve quite well. Yes your first three levels are low and need boosting but I certainly wouldn't be worried about your bedtime one, that's when you want your level to be lowest.

Before worrying too much why not wait and see what your next results show, then take it from there.

👀 watching this because my levels are all but one below range. That does seem a bit confusing that it mentions both percentages through range and below range. At least you seem to have a 'normal' pattern in that your higher readings are in the morning. I think DHEA goes some way to telling you how serious it is...if DHEA is below range, then it's maybe getting into adrenal insufficiency and HC territory, but a normal or high DHEA pretty much rules that out. But then Dr Peatfield seemed to recommend physiologic HC dosages just for pronounced HPA-axis dysfunction as well. Sorry not very helpful! Hopefully the new test will give a better picture so you can see which way things are going.
