Struggling to find out, hoping to have a conversation with NHS Endo and it would help to know 🤗

This is the MHRA complete database of medicine documents (Patient Information Leaflet, et al.)

The search is awful. But you can put in hydrocortisone and wade through. Unfortunately you'll also pick up all the documents when even mention hydrocortisone! But you usually see the medicines which are mainly or entirely hydrocortisone before any others.

Then you'll have to wade through for those that don't contain lactose, if any.

And if you weren't eyesore before wading through all that info, Eeyore, you soon will be!

Have you checked the cost?

I suspect it will have prescribers having fits. (Sorry to say.)

I saw Esau sitting on a seesaw,

I saw Esau kissing Kate,

The fact is we all three saw,

For I saw him,

And he saw me,

And she saw I saw Esau.

It is better to be prepared, I feel. At least you can prepare an argument.

I think until I have jumped through the other test hoops I'm whistling in the wind 😅

Couple of ££'s for the lovely lactose and potato starch ones 🤢

🤣 potato starch is my nemesis, actually worse than lactose which make me nauseous and itchy, potato makes me sick with an awful trippy migraine that lasts days.... feels like I've been poisoned 🤮

My favourite go to cheesy, buttery baked potato are a thing of the past 😭

That is strange; could the starch be feeding already present bacteria? I heard somewhere that removing the skin can make them more tolerable.... It contains allergens I think. I always remove them anyway because i prefer without, WITH BUTTER AND LOTS of cheese 😄

It's the nightshade family, I can't tolerate any of them... just the smell of peppers 🤢

you’ll have to get liquid form, probably better buying it yourself unless you’ve a medication exceptions card.

Thanks, yes I'm exempt but trying to find the best options either way, there are a lot out there but as far as I can see all with lactose, I've found Resolution Chemicals Ltd LF but how easy they are to access??

The person who will be able to help is not the consultant, he is not the expert for this - just get them to specify lactose free on the prescription, and then have a conversation with the pharmacist.

You are right of course... I've always found they ignored this in the past at my local surgery 🙄 but you are right, I just like to be up to speed... I swapped to an independent pharmacy and they are much better... though wherever possible I aim to get things named
