Green tea, turmeric, and black pepper to increase dopamine
I've recently been reading that green tea, turmeric, and black pepper can serve as inhibitors of MAO-- enzymes that break down neurotransmitters, including dopamine, in the brain. I just started supplementing with these natural products. Does anyone have experience with this?

Anxiety, Dopamine and Serotonin

I am on the 8mg neupro patch and take Rytary 195 in the am 195 at noon and 145 at night. My Dr says I can increase it when I feel the need to. Does anyone do this and how do you know you have too much.

Dopamine Agonist Official Withdrawal Advice (from Dr Earley??)
Just found this "detox" advice on a RLS Facebook page I was looking through. It's the first time I've ever seen a formal sheet explaining what will happen during DA withdrawal. It certainly reflects what I went through. It might be useful for anyone going through it, or thinking of doing so. It would

Reduce Dopamine Therapy
Reduce Dopamine The data in this new study show that instead of focusing on increasing brain dopamine in Parkinson’s patients, a more scientifically rational approach would be to reduce the amount of dopamine within the cells in the brain that control movement. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/could-all-experts-wrong-parkinsons-jonathan-sackner-bernstein-md

'Could All the Experts Be Wrong About Parkinson's?'
"There is already more than enough dopamine inside the cells. In some ways, using dopaminergic therapies is akin to whipping a tired horse; it helps for a few strides but doesn't affect long-term results." "Four laboratory studies report that blocking production of dopamine within these brain cells improves

How to Reduce Novelty Seeking Behaviour?
Hi, I am trying to control my novelty seeking behaviour. I find that even when I am doing something that I enjoy (like playing a video game or watching a TV show), I still constantly want to browse other games and in general keep looking for something new. This obviously is an addiction and it keeps

ADHD/Shopping Addiction, struggling to be financially responsible....
I've always had a shopping addiction, especially related to clothes. In college, I would order packages every week and walk all the way across campus to the mail center, and it would be so excited to carry that package home, try on the clothes I'd ordered from Forever 21, just bask in that rush of dopamine

Stem cell breakthrough.
Hello everyone, EXCITING news. Australian Scientists have created stem cells which replace dopamine producing neurons in animal studies and which remove all movement problems associated with Parkinson's. The stem cells have a switch off mechanism so they do not continue sub dividing. This treatment

New to the forum, newly diagnosed, need some encouragement
Hi everyone, I recently got diagnosed with ADHD this past september 2020. Prior to that I battled with depression and an eating disorder. I have felt very alone through this journey...I am currently 28 years old. I suppose you can say I have been very high functioning while compensating for my struggles

Surely this can't be right
Hello I am currently taking clonazepam half a tablet every other night as my GP was concerned about the addictive nature of the drug. It does help a little but still up every night 2/3 times but managing to get about 5/6 hrs which is a lot better than I've had at other times. I had a private neurologist

Depakote is the medication that stabilized her after she was manic for about two months... ughh to tell you all how difficult, stressful, sad these past two months were. We had to hospitalize her twice!! I quit
