focussing on gut microbiome
I am just new to this approach. It makes sense to me that if the production of brain chemicals are made in the gut, this probably is the place to look for a solution. I have not read any posts using this approach so it looks like a fair bit of googling to find out which probiotic produces which neurotransmitter

Antidepressant recommendations

L-tyrosine: any thoughts?? ðŸ’
I’m awaiting meds (probably January)… in the meantime I’d read that L-Tyrosine can be helpful for dopamine release. I ordered some and took one but didn’t notice an effect that day. Just wondered if anyone takes them and what you thought of them?

Anxiety brought on by ropinirole withdrawal?
I'm just starting week #3 after total withdrawal of ropinirole after 9 years on that drug. My dosage increased over the years from 1mg to 3mg/day. Around July 2022, I went into augmentation and realized that I'd need to get permanently off of the DA. It has been a struggle as you all know. But I'm

Do you want you doctor to prescribe an opioid instead of DA ?John Hopkins statistics on both.
This may help you when requesting an opioid verses the doctor wishing to prescribe DA https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/neurology_neurosurgery/centers_clinics/restless-legs-syndrome/what-is-rls/treatment.html I am typing this information direct from John hopkins treatment article. An estimated 85%

New meds.
Thanks for all the comments in my previous post. I'm speaking to the doctor in the UK on Friday. Gabapentin or Pregablin is suggested by many of you which I now know are pain killers. I wouldn't say I'm in pain just discomfort that stops me sleeping. Is it still right to ask for these. In the UK dopamine

Damage to receptors? Berberine? Iron type? Three questions.
As I continue to read posts to try to understand what might be triggering my RLS and what I can do to alleviate it, I have just read about D receptors being damaged. I was prescribed ropinerole about eight or so months ago. Have been tapering down for at least three months, I think. Am now on .25 mg

Dyskinesia with MP
Hello all! Need some pearls of wisdom. I'm 39 on c/l 25/100 , I take two tablets in one day in divided doses by breaking the tab along with one pramipexole either 0.75 mg ER or 0.375 mg ER. My on time varies every day and the dose too. I thought it'd be worthwhile to try MP, I have got Now dopa mucuna

Another way to view and treat Parkinson's?
Transformative information: a chart from a study by Patrick Holford on depression. Providing nutrients to increase dopamine in a natural way instead of giving Levodopa?Almost the entire population is deficient in magnesium, zinc, all the vitamins of the B group, etc. Even more so in Parkinson's patients

Pregabalin + Ropinirole or Opioids
After a recent post from Amrob explaining that they add 0.125mg or 0.25mg Clonazepam to 300 mg Pregabalin when the Pregabalin does not cut ... I do the same with Ropinirole, adding 0.125mg nightly to 300 mg Pregabalin, because I will never get to sleep otherwise ..... I wonder what the thoughts are

Dopamine agonists
Why does https://www.rls-uk.org/faqs still say under Treatments for RLS "Dopamine agonists are often recommended for people with more frequent symptoms. These include ropinirole, pramipexole and rotigotine." No mention in that answer of problems with augmentation and that Gabapentin/ Pregabalin is the

IBOGA
Iboga, ordered 25 grams today and will start "microdosing" soon. Iboga is legal in Germany. I already had party drug experience two decades ago! :-) . A phase 2 study is to begin. I am currently establishing contact. Excerpt from a letter: In the meantime, iboga is not only interesting for addiction
