My Apple watch
I have been extremely surprised today when I saw my EP at the hospital. My watch was recording that I had AF and I felt dizzy and breathless. However my ECG tracing in the hospital recorded that I was in sinus rhythm. I have always trusted my watch but now in shock as it doesn’t seem very accurate.

Links to some articles comparing FUS to DBS for Essential Tremors
For the time being, there's more research and development in the ET field than the PD field as it relates to tremor dominant Parkinson's. Here's a few links that compares the two. https://www.neurologyreviews-digital.com/neurologyreviews/nr_march_2019_/MobilePagedArticle.action?articleId=1470923

DBS - yes or no?
How to decide on a DBS placement I'm gonna take the plunge. I just cant do the meds anymore, they don't work like they used to and I'm beyond miserable. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Second heart operation
Hi my partner is waiting for a second heart operation. He had a valve repaired aged 18 the Ross procedure and done incredibly well off it. He has now been told its leaking is getting to much and will need a reoperation with 2 years. We have a 5 year daughter. Has anyone been through this?

Any advice welcome.
Hi, is there anyone like me that when diagnosed with heart failure had to lose over 100lbs in weight? Would love to hear tips for how to get safely started with exercise. I'm worried as I am so inactive that any form of exercise is going to make me worse as my anxiety is also bad at present.

Sister back on ventilator
Hi, I'm new here but needed to get this off my chest. My sister has been in ICU since 28th January. She developed a deep wound infection about six weeks after a triple heart bypass. She was admitted to hospital for a few days but then developed sepsis. She was put on a ventilator and intubated for

Hike to Everest Base Camp anyone?
So I’m thinking of doing this as a bucket list dream - let’s say before I reach 60- I’m 54 this year. Had quadruple heart bypass 2 years ago at 51- anyone know of someone who has done altitude things post heart issue?

Long-term Warfarin use and arterial calcification?
I've recently become aware that arterial calcification is a risk with warfarin use. I've been taking a high dose of warfarin for nearly 20 years to keep my artificial heart valve ticking away. My INR needs to be between 3 and 4 so I typically take in the order of 8 to 10mg daily. I wondered if anyone

Screening for atrial fibrillation
Just a few of many papers. The third is particularly impressive. None appear to be behind a paywall. A hugely important matter. 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5565853/ which mentions increased workload for GPs [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27059888/] 2. https://www.ahajournals.org

I find there are times when I can't sleep on my right side (I never sleep on my left) without my heart playing up. Help! I’m scared I might have throat cancer
Hello to everyone and Thank You in advance, I know I have already posted here before but I desperately need help from everyone. For the past 2 month I’ve been having problems or pain swallowing. I can still swallow and eat food and drink but here the thing, I only get this pain when swallowing saliva
