Husband just been diagnosed with brain tumour
My husband has just been diagnosed with a brain tumour aged 32. He had a seizure back in March and they didn’t do a CT, and then no symptoms until now, which he had all symptoms of a migraine last week, they did a CT scan which showed a 6cm tumour in temporal/frontal lobe which they believe is low grade

Hi, I had a craniotomy and resection of petroclival meningioma in May 2022 but as attached to brain stem it can’t be fully removed. Due to minor growth and change of shape I am having radiotherapy starting on 22nd for 6 weeks, Monday - Friday, what has been other peoples experience? They say possible

just had a craniotomy
hello I joined this group to hear how others are recovering from their crainotomy. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago to remove a meningioma which I’ve known about and had annual MRIs for the last 12 years. I’m kicking goals with my recovery was sent home 24 hrs after surgery due to no space in hospital

Looking for advice
I had a TBI a few weeks ago, after a work related car accident. It resulted in a craniotomy and I was in an induced coma for a couple of days. I'm slowly beginning to feel better but I just don't feel like myself. I'm tired all the time and I get angry over nothing. Any support or advice would be

Negative Posting About the NHS
Hi all. Recently I have seen some very negative posts/responses to people with regards the NHS and it's lack of performance, commitment, etc., to TBI sufferers. It is so bad that like a used car forum where people only post when they have a problem, never to say they have a great car, I'd like to somewhat

The stress and worry continue
I recently posted regarding my son having to attend court and was so grateful for the advice and replies that I received. We used Thomson Solicitors who were recommend to us through Headway, and they were great. My son plead guilty and received a hefty fine, and we all breathed a huge sigh of relief

Seeking information about encephalomalacia
Hi , I’m new to this site . I have recently given up working to become a carer for my partner who had a TBI in 2009 . He received a bleed to the brain and had to have a craniotomy . Amazingly he recovered and even went back to work but in 2018 I noticed a change in his walking and a movement in his eye

Update on progress and advice needed
Hi all I don’t know whether you recall our story… my husband was in a RTA on 24/11 and woke from coma on 22/12. He has now at 9 weeks been discharged from ICU and moved to a Neuro/rehab ward and is waiting assessment. After a tricky weaning off the ventilator he has now had his trachy removed.

Bad car accident
My adult child was in a bad car accident and had to have craniotomy and craniectomy. They are doing better now it's been two months but the psch Dr keeps trying different meds that don't help or make them more tired. They have also been put in propranolol for headaches. They weren't on any meds before
