Low Blood Sugar
A few patients with haemolysis will develop severe hypoproliferative anemia during severe viral infections in which case the
Dapsone
would need to be stopped and a blood transfusion may need to be given. I felt that at the moment the benefit of
Dapsone
outweighs this potential risk.

ITP, Need your help
I was given IGG, Anti-D,
Dapsone

Acalabrutinib
Eventually was taken off all the other drugs I was taking (Allopurinol, Metoclopramide,
Dapsone
and Co-Dydramol for headaches). I'm now only taking Acalabrutinib plus Co-codamol and Tramadol for headaches and pain but am seeing my Consultant on Thursday to see where we go from here.

[CASE-STUDY] Sweet’s syndrome triggered by ultraviolet light
A second-line treatment such as
dapsone
was chosen. This drug interferes with the myeloperoxidase-halide system that generates oxygen intermediates so it can be used in neutrophil-mediated skin diseases such as Sweet syndrome. However, it was ineffective.

Skin breakouts and hair loss
I am taking
dapsone
, colchicine, amitriptyline, folic acid, leflunomide, keppra, and Infliximab (every 4 weeks, 900 mg). I wanted to know if any one has random skin breakouts on their face, as well as have skin issue on your bottom. As well as hair loss. I did some research.

THE USE OF DAPSONE FOR SUBCUTANEOUS ISSUES
Has anyone else been prescribed the Medication
DAPSONE
? I initially was prescribed the usual suspect (meds)when I was first diagnosed with Panniculitus in 2018. All of them made me deathly ill. I ran across articles for the drug
Dapsone
and asked my Rumy if I could take it.

Elevated creatinine — six months post transplant
However, they put me on
Dapsone
(e.g. anti-infective) and removed it after two weeks due to, I believe, dropping hemoglobin. Now that's getting better but my creatine rose from 1.21 to 1.35. Normally, my creatinine ranges between 1.15 and 1.25. My TAC was 6.1 (should be between 6-8).

CBD oil and other alternative treatmentsfor polymyalgia (PMR)?
She is on
Dapsone
(antibiotic), Prednisone, Gabapentin, calcium and vitamin D suppliments, and Advil (which she says does nothing). It is really hard to watch her condition deteriorate so rapidly, and we have concerns for the long term consequences of taking all of these medications.

Folate levels
I looked through the leaflet of
Dapsone
last night & it said this: "It works by stopping the production of folic acid in certain bacteria, therefore stopping them growing." Do you think the
Dapsone
is causing the low Folate despite taking folic acid regular, or am I reading too much into it?

Ultra V - Cycle 4
He has moved the
dapsone
(antibiotic) and allopurinol to the evenings. We're hoping in another month or so they will let him drop the allopurinol as he is at next to no risk of tumor lysis at this point.

Dapsone and Diabetes
To prevent lung infections, I take
dapsone
, (allergic to Septrin). Does anyone with Diabetes and on
Dapsone
, have a problem with HBA1c test results being too low? The doctor was reducing my medication, gliclazide, because the test results were low.
