Hi,

Yes my son did. It was in 7s but the surgeon said that there was no loss of blood so he did well and now his hemoglobin is in range. No he was not on dapsone.
Hi, I did - I can’t remember the numbers off hand, but I had weekly epoetin injections in the few weeks before my transplant to help with that and took an iron supplement after the transplant as well.
My spouse was not on this drug you mentioned. He had low hemoglobin 8 months which occurred two months after his transplant Nov 2018. I gave him 3 shots a week to get the hormone in the kidney to tell the bone marrow to make more red blood cells and after 8 months of these shots, finally his red blood count was good. He was a couch potato during all that time, super fatigue. I would have to relook at my notes to know the drug that I injected him with. I wish you all the best.
I was anemic my whole life (genetic KD not diagnosed until age 60). In the year before my transplant my neph wanted to put me on erythropoietin but I pushed back and never went on it. I had a pre-emptive transplant 7 years ago. During post op I was given 2 units of blood. I have not had anemia since. I’m not familiar with the drug you mentioned but I was not on it. I can’t remember my numbers.
