Insulin Enhances Migration and Invasion in PCa.

The Newcastle Diet : does it work?
If you're short on time, the brief answer is "for most people, no, not really". The longer answer is very interesting. Here's the summary of the 2-year followup, straight from the source: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/media/wwwnclacuk/newcastlemagneticresonancecentre/files/DiRECT%20-%202%20year%20results.pdf

Afinitor and blood sugar
Today is day 9 on Afinitor and Aromasin. I had previously been on Ibrance and it stopped working. Other than a few mouth sores, nausea, and some serious fatigue, the Afinitor seemed to be working. I was especially worried about my blood sugar since high blood sugar is listed as a possible side effect

For those on statins: adding dipyridamole might be a good idea
the drug dipyridamole can be used to block statin-induced SREBP activation and augment apoptosis in statin-insensitive PCa cells. In this study fluvastatin was used, maybe not the best option against PCA. Dipyridamole can be taken instead/with aspirin, and there is a version with aspirin in it (Aggrenox

Hello!
Good evening, everyone! I am new to this site. I have been looking for a support group either in physical or online form. Glad to be here. My battle with anxiety began at an early age from trauma. The panic attacks were random but bad when they occurred, especially as a teen. I became a mother at 20

Long-term Metformin
Hi I recently read a report (I forget where, sorry) that long term Metformin diminishes vitamin B12 supplies and there was a recommendation that B12 levels should be routinely checked at diabetes reviews. Has anyone else heard about this?

The first negative thing I have seen regarding metformin
The Atlanta Journal and Constitution this morning reprinted a NY Times article regarding metformin. I'd like to know what others here think since it seems so many are using this medication. Activating AMPK and PCa
Hey gang, saw this paper about AMPK activation, which Metformin does, and the effect on PCa: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4480686/ But, also saw this one about IF (Intermittent fasting) and AMPK: http://siimland.com/how-to-increase-ampk-for-fat-burning-and-longevity/ BTW, safe in CA,

35 wk scan shows polyhydramnios. Has it caused any baby birth defects or problems?
Hi all, I went into the labour ward with my OH last night as the baby movements I've been experiencing have been getting less. The heartbeat was strong, but the scan showed I had a lot of fluid and she called it polyhydramnios. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and whether it's due to birth
