Im 19 and have been diagnosed with Pcos for a year now, me and my partner are ttc and have been trying for around 6 months now. I am going to book a doctors appointment to look into getting clomid or metformin in order to help me ovulate. I was wondering if any ladies have any advice on any supplements i should be taking or how i can change my diet. Im a healthy weight with a bmi of 22.4, and dont have serious symptoms of pcos apart from the irregular periods.

Pcos and ttc help advice?
The main thing is to see if you are ovulating as a period does mean you are, you also need your tubes checking prior to be put on clomid, in my opinion, as there is a time limit on clomid, also your partner will need to be tested too as 1/3 of fertility issues are men. I put my husband on the Boots Vit C and zinc tablets and his improved over 100% in a year (was rubbish prior to that with lots of dead and two tailed sperm) so as a precaution put him on those too.
Look at the fertilityfriends website as it show the most accurate way for pcos ladies to see if they ovulate. I had regular periods but didnt ovulate often.
Your age may be against you as lots of GP's seem reluctant to refer young ladies to fertility so make sure you read up on the NICE guidelines on pcos prior to going to your GP so you know what you are entitled to from a NHS/PCOS point of view.
