I started with the COC protocol in March of this year. I see numerous posts regarding the use of metformin, statins, and fenbendazole/mebendazole. For those of you that may be interested in the program check out Dr. Daniel Thomas's blog at thomashealthblog.com . He is my consulting oncologist associated with the CareOncologyClinic. It may be cost prohibitive for some to go with this program, but his website does provide some good reference materials involving the use of off patent medications and other supplements for the treatment of prostate and other cancers.

Thank you for sharing this. How are you doing with Doxycycline? My husband keeps throwing it up - with very little warning - he says the nausea comes out of nowhere. Talking to the DR this week re: a good alternative. Today he'll take it at night to see if that is an improvement. He has tablets - we are also going to see if a capsule is more tolerable.
Just found this info yesterday - which you may find interesting. We're going to discuss with his DR this week as well.

I was hoping for Doxycycline, but my alt-doc uses Minocycline off-label (for other conditions), so I went with it.
I take my cap before bed Mon, Wed & Fri. No ill-effects that I can discern. Nor can I say how it has helped, or if.
I take my probiotics when I get up in the morning.

Emily,
is the Doxycycline in lieu of Indomethacin? or combined with it. I'm doing so much (even with my BIRM holiday) that I feel overloaded with "Xtras" ....I have been feeling so much better joint and pain-wise since starting the Indomethacin....and I'm almost out of the single prescription the doctor gave me.....
I'll be calling this next week begging for a re-fill.
John
p.s. how was your Costco adventure? did you go yet?
Hi GJohn -
The Doxy is the antibiotic that is part of the Care Onocology protocol - that many on site seem to be doing. It is strong so he will try taking it tonight and see if that works better. Gordon too - taking so much.
Costco and Dr. Osaki will have to wait - maybe next week - as it was just too hot to venture out! Guess you all are used to that. 92 degrees yesterday. Definitely a heatwave and too hot for a Brit used to mild weather!
Emily
I'm British at heart (and by DNA)...I can't take the heat..and I love London with it's overcast and rainy days! I picked the exact opposite place from where I should have lived. It's all Richard's fault (and I don't let him forget it!)

Nice! We lived in Bath where we still have a place - so who knows if we will end up back there - although with Brexit it's a bit of a mess right now.
I totally blamed my husband during those 7 years there -🤣 i.e. "I never would have married you if I had know we'd be living here! While I did grow to love it, I'm a NYer at heart.
P.S. Are you still taking graviola?
the name sounded familiar, but I looked at my bottles and I don't think I am...what exactly is it?
oh - hilarious - my aunt sent a bottle + info so I figured it's worth a punt. I graviola in the search engine here and found a post of yours from a year ago.
I've had zero issues with Doxycycline, but I have been taking either Doxycycline, minocycline, or tetracycline for rosacea/ acne for about 40 years off and on. So I guess my gut has learned to accept it. I also have MS and there have been studies using Doxycycline for RRMS symptoms dating back 20 years or more. Maybe just coincidental but my MS has been reclassified from RRMS to progressive MS shortly before my diagnosis of cancer. I had stopped the Doxy about a year ago. Maybe I should have stayed on it.
Thanks for the reference to anti-histamine use. I was already on loratadine before starting the COC protocol. I think they use clemastine in their protocol. The docs said to stick with the loratadine, so I have. It's supposed to help with the bone pain also.
Happy to report that my husband did well taking the doxy before bed. We crushed the tablet into a capsule so perhaps that made a difference as well? Not sure. Fingers crossed.
