Blood results

The doc said to take it easy for a while which isn't helping. After pushing the doc for further investigations, a stool sample was taken and bloods. The

I was put on ferrous sulphate and folic acid. Will dig out my exact results all I remember is it's non iron deficiency anaemia (I think that's what they said) I have so much going on in my health. Seaside susie sent me this way. On lots of other drugs too including rivaroxaban as I had a pulmonary embolism

Iron deficiency anaemia affecting B12?
I've heard about low iron levels directly affecting B12, can anyone shed any light on this? I was diagnosed Coeliac five years ago and PA two years ago. Since April this year I have also had iron deficieny anaemia due to heavy menstrual periods. I have hydroxocobalamin 1mg/1ml injections every three

Iron blood test advice
Hi all, I've ordered an iron status check as I have low ferritin levels but want to be sure that the rest of my iron levels are also low. It will look at transferrin, ferritin, serum iron and the ratios. I'd like some advice on whether I should stop supplementing iron before I do it and also whether

Anaemia confusion
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me to understand this whole anaemia business because I am deeply confused! I had the FBC done a few months ago, and the GP called me and told me that I was not anaemic but my red blood cells were slightly enlarged so they were going to test B12 and folate. Subsequently

Folate bloods
I had a recent blood test which showed my folate level to be 9.1. I didnt get any ranges from the surgery but when I phoned them yesterday they said that my level needed to be above 3.8. My friend who is a nurse in the same area where I live gave me a range of 4.5-45.3 nm0l/l. I am already anaemic

Will recent B12 shots Affect Iron Panel results?
Hi all, I want to check my iron levels to see if I should supplement iron (I'm pretty sure I do as Hb is low). My question is, will my having had recent b12 loading shots affect my iron tests? Tests to run:- Serum Ferritin Serum Iron + Total Iron Binding Capacity Tranferrin Iron Saturation Percentage

Folate Blood result
I have a folate result of 9.1. The printout that the receptionist gave me did not have the ranges on them and when I asked for them, the receptionist did not know. I just wanted to know if I need to be prescribed folic acid. I am anaemic and am currently on iron (ferrous sulphate 200mg 2 x daily)
