Suprising (good) thyroid retests, reduction in antibodies?
Hi guys, It's been a while since I posted here, but for the sake of continuity or it might help others I thought I would post an update since this new test paints an almost completely different picture, especially a big reduction in Thyroglobulin antibodies. For reference I haven't been on any kind of

Taking more B12 to alleviate symptoms, and less folic acid. Please help.
Ive heard taking folic acid masks symptoms of b12 deficiency? Taking 4 mg? 4000 mcg? Of folic acid. Took another b12 and feel better. So, 25 000 mcg altogether. This is before I took my calcium, iron, vitamin C. Also ovulating/ menstruating. So still not struggling as much as i cld. So doing a bit better

Anyone got haemochromotosis?
Hi all, a new diagnosis, as if there wasn't already enough to deal with. Because I have secondary polycethemia like others here (too much haemoglobin, a quite usual compensation for low oxygen), my GP sent me for a test to rule out haemochromotosis, an inherited iron overload condition. To rule it out

Natural supplements used as Adjuvant Therapy with Lupron (only) by 6 year Stage IV, G8, PSA 0.06, Patient
I continue to receive a number of requests for the specific supplements I take. Here is my story and an updated list of specific supplements. All supplements chosen were made on the basis of cancer research reviewed mainly through pubmed.gov. Doses were more challenging and were derived from the experiences

Pramipexole 0.250mg as %100 RLS symptoms fix
Hi, To those that havent got to try the pramipexole I higly recommend with no side effects after using a year - using a small tablet 0.250 mg pramipexole after dinner. It never fails me. If I dont take it its a miserable night. So as in any pharmacutical drugs, its not a cure only make you not notice

When should I take T3?
So after a definite "no" from the doctor about prescribing me T3, I have ordered some 25mcg tablets myself. My plan is to quarter them to start off with and retest levels in 2 months. Then if necessary, up the dose to half a tablet etc. I currently take supplements (B complex, vit D, probiotic, omega

Just got blood results from GP after difficulty in obtaining a copy. I thought TSH tested but no test done! I was diagnosed initially by myself and confirmed by GP with fibromyalgia in 2016. I believe (although now don't know) that thyroid tested in April 2015 when I went to gp with pain, stiffness,

TUMOUR HCC (cancer) No transplant. No treatment. I can’t accept this.
Hi everyone. Sorry I’m kind of posting about the same thing but I really need some help/advice. Mum had her follow-up cat scan yesterday and her tumour has grown to 7 cm and there are possibly one or two more. Her doctor is adamant she is not eligible for transplant. Her doctor doesn’t want to do any

~Hot raised blood vessels anyone?~
Interested if any of our PMR friends have experienced hot ropey looking blood vessels that have developed on their PMR/GCA journey. Caught my usual regular upper respiratory virus at Easter - lots of rest, fluids and my trusty lypo-spheric vit c got me through - no green phlem which was a bonus. Usually

Blood results after Iron IV and ditching veganism
Writing to announce a big improvement in my Ferritin, Iron and B12 levels after having two Iron IVs and discontinuing vegan diet. To my shock almost all of my blood results have improved since going back to meat (paleo) - not something I expected! Usually we hear all about people getting healthier

Update since my post a few weeks ago
Just a quick update. Still awaiting my sputum sample results, but having spoken to the hospital they say it takes several weeks as they have to grow a culture to see what bacteria is present. Blood tests came back clear so actually still no further forward . Having said that I have been taking good care

Help with interpreting various blood results
Hi, I recently had a blood test for various things. (I have Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Sjörgren's Syndrome, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and some of the tests are because of the meds I take). I was hoping someone could interpret my results, i.e. if there's anything I should be concerned about. I'm

Help with Thyroid tests from UAE
My son lives in Abu Dhabi UAE, and has been 100% gluten free for four years. Family members' blood tests were negative for coeliac, but were false negatives. My grandmother had thyroid disease; my sister is hypo, I had Graves, RAI and now hypo. I had to add T3 in 2016 as I wasn't converting and was very

Meds/supps schedule challenge
I need some help in planning my meds and supplements throughout the day. Can someone look at it please? My goals are : 1. Increase Cytomel dose. Which is better - morning or afternoon one? My cortisol is all day low, but morning a little higher. Does it make sense to raise the morning dose then? I can
