thoughts on result update
I posted my daughters pre hysterectomy bloods in September and had some excellent advice. She has redone the blood tests and I still think the thyroid test results are strange. She has been on iron for 8 weeks. The first results are for September. And the second for

low ferratin
Afternoon all looking for some more advice. As previously said been feeling feeling terrible for about a year. Doctors thought that it was my low folate as my level was low. Got that level up to late teens and my b12 is high nearly 1500. my ferratin is 29 which is on the low side but my iron study

First SI, the pain, ouch!
Hello everyone, Asking for help again on my SI journey please š Yesterday I did my first IM injection into the thigh following a video by a UK GP. It hurt much less than the one I had done in the arm at a clinic 2 weeks ago (to check no allergic reaction) so I thought great, this is the way to go

Need advice on these blood test results - wondering if it might be hypo, but Dr's all say numbers are fine.
I have just stumbled upon this site, and am hoping that you knowledgeable people can help me out.
The short story:
I'm undiagnosed, never been on any thyroid hormones. Feeling unwell for over 2 years - fatigue/tiredness, weight gain, hair loss (decreased hair density on scalp), loss of outer third

Bit confused, latest test results now on Erfa. Could I have an unstable thyroid??
Hi helpful thyroid community. Iāve been on Erfa now for 3.5 months I did another blood test Monday and just have results thru. Iām now taking 60mg very early morning and 30mg lunch time (so timing not ideal if this to keep away from eating!) The October test was just after I upped the doseage from original

GP wont prescribe Hydroxycobalamin until further blood tests conducted despite neuro involvement.
Good morning.I've found this forum out of desperation having experienced what I now know are symptoms of B12 deficiency for a few years. After repeated B12 levels over the years which consistently showed my levels dropping (treatable since 2021 in some parts of the country) they were finally low enough

Advice on ānormalā test results
Hi Iāve recently joined and wanted some guidance on blood tests that my doctors are saying need no action. I went struggling with neck pain and neurological symptoms and they ordered full bloods. In the last two years Iāve gained a huge amount of weight, my face is puffy, and Iāve struggled with running

Sudden recent darkness under eyes
Hey, all, I think I know that a lot of people have dark area around their eyes just as part of their normal selves. But I have never had any rings under my eyes. But in the last couple days, have definitely noticed slightly dark rings under my eyes. I am thinking this is more likely a nutrient issue

20 hours of non-injecting
Having completed a two week trial I did not inject until my stuffy head came back. It was then three days of recovery but nothing severe. I thought that I might be experiencing shortness of breath at about 6 hours but nothing definitive. I woke up at 11 am with my stuffy head and injected and went

Hello all So after years of a tummy that reacted to certain foods, being diagnosed as gluten intolerant in 2016, really suffering in 2021 and 2022, following a FODMAP diet recommended by my doctor (donāt recommend) and getting to a point where I only ate the same plain things everyday, I finally paid

What level is normal after B12 injections
First post after being diagnosed with very low B12 (67). I am in the UK and had the course of six injections within two weeks 12 weeks ago. My level of B12 has just been tested and is 360 but I have no idea whether this would be normal at this stage? I am debating whether to have another injection or

Update on my partner
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone. We are 4 weeks into EOD injections a local pharmacist showed me how to inject my partner and iv been doing them for him. Originally using panpharma but it was sold out so have just started with pascoe 1500. Much easier to draw up and inject and apparently no

Please help me understand advanced thyroid test results
Iām returning here after following advice to get my mum a full thyroid check via medichecks as her GP had dismissed her previously marginal results. She is switching to a new surgery and we are hoping she will be taken more seriously, following these additional test results. Iām hoping someone can

Schilling Test -or something else ?
I recently found this out: Seventeen years ago, my cousin was found to have B12 deficiency. She would have been in her early 30s then - and was told that PA was unlikely at that young age. They tested her. From what she has told me, it sounds as if she was given the Schilling test - as she remembers
