Hi Parents, I just joined the forum today. I have a 12 year old daughter recently diagnosed with ADD. She was diagnosed late because things did not become completely unmanageable for her until she hit middle school and was responsible for juggling a complex daily schedule. She saw an OT for sensory

New & Confused: Could it be Hashi/Ord's or Adrenal Fatigue?
Hi Newbie here. I've been battling with my GP for over a year with many symptoms of Hypothyroid and have been struggling with stress for many years. My Cortisol was tested as being very high last year (570) but saw an Endo who ruled out Cushings but was totally unhelpful in looking into anything else

Help yourself
I’ve been going to counselling for some time now. Tonight we spoke about 2 things: 1. How I can help myself right now. I know what I need to do to help other people but when it comes to helping myself I’m at a loss. What do you do to help yourself cope? 2. Looking forward to things. I’m really struggling

Donor Egg Counselling 😬
Hello lovelies, tomorrow we have our DE counselling and then an appointment with the coordinator, and I’m feeling a mix of nerves, excitement and exhaustion! Part of me is excited to open this new door, but I’m also terrified at the unknown. I thought I’d made the decision that DE was the way forward

Counselling for PA..advice anyone?
Hi guys, I hope you are all well as can be. I was wondering whether anyone has tried counselling to help with PA? I've talked to my friend who suffers from it and I also think it has led to depression. I've spoken about it and was told that he will think about it. So I've gone ahead and booked him a

Second heart attack in 2 weeks!
My first was on 29th November and resulted in emergency angioplasty which was diifucult enough to deal with but I suffered another one on the 15th December again resulting in emergency treatment. I have just returned home and have found this all completely overwhelming both physically and mentally. I

Can't do this anymore
Just can't carry on like this anymore: constantly anxious something is going to happen, constantly worried about what others (strangers included) are thinking about me, feeling like I'm not good enough for anything or anyone I take flux and have done for 5 years, had counselling, take propranolol,

Disappointed

When we finally got seen it was with a consultant that neither of us had met before, and regarding

Just trying to survive...
I’m 41. I have 5 children. Two are adults. I work FT. Life’s been hard. Life is good now. Anxiety has always been with me. Now depression is a shadow following me and I can’t get it to go away. I’ve started menopause a few months ago. Started counseling. Good job, happy kids, in love. Sad. Too sad

HELP anxiety/depression
Hi guys Two years ago I had a mental break down and I went to the doctors who diagnosed me with anxiety and depression. He prescribed me sertraline. This did help me get back on my feet like going back to work after taking some time off. However recently since September I have been under a lot of stress

December's Topic of the Month - Depression & Anxiety (We want to hear your tips and experiences)
Our last Topic of the Month discussion for 2017 is 'Depression & Anxiety'. Depression and anxiety can commonly occur in people with lupus. It is often difficult to determine whether they are an integral part of lupus (as it is in some people), where management of the lupus itself often lifts these feelings

Anxiety, depression, suicide
I am trying to hang in, it's difficult every day, still no meds work, looked into counseling, nothing so far. I tried EAP and they sounded almost predatory , wanted to know if I thought about suicide, so they could call 911.. Needless to say,I didn't do that. Tried to contact EA and have heard nothing
