In-person support group

For over 13 years, I have been recovering from severe trauma. I have gotten professional counseling and EMDR treatment. However, I feel a need for an in-person support group.

I have done some research and haven’t found anything other than through the Veterans Administration. I am not a veteran.

So, I am taking steps to start a group in my community. Has anyone done this already? Any suggestions are welcome.

If you are a sexual assault survivor you could see if your local rape crisis center has any groups. Usually each county has a rape crisis center.
