Tectal Plate lesion
A
craniotomy
was done on 7 Jan 2020 to remove the benign lesion. Alas, surgery traumatised the Optic Nerve so I still have double vision and 6th nerve palsy. I am currently having 9 monthly MRIs to monitor the TP lesion.

Finding a cause for my Vertigo
The only other time I had vertigo was five years ago, which resulted to referral to a neuro who ultimately ordered a brain MRI (in order to rule in/out MS) which instead of confirming MS lesions, revealed a small midbrain tumor (for which I underwent
craniotomy
/pinealectomy to remove it in 2017).

Big surgery
I have been told because of it I will probably need a
craniotomy
after my next scan in June. I was told it will be a big surgery with risks. This is by a top neurosurgeon. How do Ideal with this. I’m just falling to pieces. I’m 64 so not young and not particularly fit.

Next week having an open
craniotomy
to biopsy one of the tumors to send to Pathology. My mental condition has become very abnormal and difficult to think. Looking forward to seeing what the pathology shows.

Schwannoma recurrence
I had a
craniotomy
for a large(4.5 cm) scwannoma 6 months ago, which I'm still working to recover from. My recent MRI from March 1 showed a much smaller growth which is suspect for a recurrent and I'll be having Gamma Knife surgery to deal with the new growth in 4-6 weeks.

Hello,
Hello, I am Joanne, I had a
craniotomy
June 2016. I was an interpreter for deaf children in schools, had a seizure at work, was rushed to hospital to be told I had a mass on my brain and needed emergency surgery. It turned out to be a massive brain tumour. I lost my speech .

My mom needs craniotomy
She is scheduled to undergo an
craniotomy
on the 25th. I'm just here because I'm hoping someone can give me some hope. She is so not my mom right now and I'm afraid she never will be again. I have a 10 year son. I am her only child and he is her only grandchild and she is his only grandparent.

Am I one of the only people to have had their brain 'carpeted'? 🤔
Now, the carpeting part is where the membrane that covers the brain is cut, the olfactory nerve is severed and the front of the brain is lifted partially out of the skull (i had to have a bilateral
craniotomy
for this).

Bedtime head discomfort - pillow recommendations?
Hi all, I had a
craniotomy
in 2018 and still struggle a lot with sleep. I can only sleep on my left hand side now and it takes an age to get comfortable. Can anyone recommend a pillow that you have used and doesn't fail you. I've been looking at the Internet but I feel even more confused.

Cranioplasty date has been set, any advice gratefully received
He is 13 months post his aneurysm surgery which resulted in a massive stroke and
craniotomy
. He has been home 2 months and is pretty much bedbound. He struggles with sitting balance, in fact I think he would just topple over if there wasn’t a person on either side of him, supporting him.

Prolonged Disorder of Consciousness
My partner has this diagnosis and is almost 8 months post aneurysm surgery that caused a stroke then swelling needing further surgery 10 days later and a
craniotomy
. He has been in this state since July 12th with only tiny improvements. I need hope in a situation that feels so desperately hopeless.
