Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience of this and can give me some encouragement. Has anyone recovered from being in this state? My partner has this diagnosis and is almost 8 months post aneurysm surgery that caused a stroke then swelling needing further surgery 10 days later and a craniotomy. He has been in this state since July 12th with only tiny improvements. I need hope in a situation that feels so desperately hopeless.
I hope all you lovely people are doing ok and looking forward to what, hopefully, will be a summer of a little more freedom.

Hello 123Bereft, I read on other post you have managed to see your partner this week. I really have no answers to your post, but I hope with visiting and speaking to staff to build the relationship helps measuring your partners progress.
Thank you, there are a couple of things that have happened this past 10 days that have given me real hope, he helped himself to sliced banana and he held the phone to his ear when I called to talk to him. He has also been laughing and singing with his physiotherapist (I think I've lost him there!). So maybe he is starting to awaken, I really hope so.
I hope things are ok for you, your taking time to reply has made me feel quite emotional.
I do that now, I just cry if I need to, sometimes that's whilst I'm sitting at my desk at work. This worries me a lot, whether my partner will still be the same person I love, with the same qualities, but I know in my heart that it is unlikely.
