Covid Treatment besides antivirals?
My husband tested positive for covid this morning and is on an antiviral medication. I emailed my EP and asked if I would be able to take an antiviral if I should catch it from my husband. Because my medications include Xarelto, Atorvastatin and Digoxin , he said he would not want me on an antiviral

Hi! I tested positive for Covid 2 weeks ago… it’s caused an asthma flare but luckily I got prescribed steroids for a week which, along with my Fostair and Ventolin inhalers, kept things stable enough for me to stay home. My GP signed me off for a further week after my 1st week of self certifying, however

Covid
Hello, I am looking for a bit of advice. My husband who was diagnosed with PSP 4 years ago and is currently on a respite break, he has contracted COVID and I am a bit scared due to the PSP and the whole chest infection scenario. He is due home later today as the respite centre is shutting for the Christmas

Post Covid/Long Covid with Bronchiectasis
Hi all Just looking for some advice, I went away for a short break to Spain in early October, anyway when I came back I had caught Covid, on the plane I'm guessing, as I was ok whilst I was there. I knew having mild Bronchiectasis that I would probably be in trouble, however the actual covid, wasn't

First COVID Antibody Test
I just got the results back from my first COVID antibody test. It said that my antibody level is 150. Is this a decent level? It is difficult to find much information on this. I am trying to see if I can feel a little secure if we have family over for Christmas. I will probably wear a mask and

Covid
I caught covid, but am doing well now and back to working from home. One of my housemates have caught it now. Hopefully I can go away at Christmas but will have to wait and see, my parents are retired and Mum suffers health problems. I am looking forward to 2 weeks off work. I started doing a computer

Worsening tinnitus and spaciness - vaccine/menopause?
Hello everyone, I had my second covid booster six weeks ago and two days after I developed a spacey/dizzy, unreal feeling, which remains today. The fairly mild tinnitus that I’d had for over 30 years started to get increasingly louder about a week later. Following an MRI which unfortunately significantly

Fostair finished and can't get any until tomorrow/Covid too
I have Covid and was taking my Fostair as prescribed by practitioner nurse. Today I noted it was empty. I have still got my old Budesonide and Salbutamol left from when I switched over in October. Can I use this until I get supply tomorrow?

Potential New Treatment for “Brain Fog” in Long COVID Patients
Although brain fog in thyroid patients has often been dismissed by medics (whether not understood, not believed, or some other reason, I cannot say). However, it is coming through as a recognised symptom of Long Covid. Hopefully, even if the actual detailed causes are slightly or radically different

15 month update, Covid Pneumonia, the road to recovery
The last few months have been odd, yesterday, I got an automated call from the NHS, to give me an appointment at the long covid / pulmonary clinic. I turned it down, for two reasons. Firstly it was 12 months late. To explain the second point, lets look back at whats happened since October 2022. I
