Section 7 of this link includes advice for covid patients -but it is directed at UK patients -and that you need to discuss with your doctor -

I had covid badly recently but strangely enough it didn't occur to me to raise the pred. Razor blades in my throat, heavy cold and dreadful cough. No fever. No pmr side effects though luckily Stayed in for 10 days and didn't lose my appetite. I'm on 3mg.

As DL says, you really need to check with your doctor. I had Covid in October when on 3.5mg. I added 10mg in the morning for four days, then dropped to 10mg for two days and then back to normal. This was fine with my doctor. I had no increase in PMR symptoms.
