possible heart strain
I had Covid in February 2023. 3 weeks later I started getting breathless. I managed my normal activities but eventually I found I struggled with my daily 2/3 walks and walking up the stairs at home. Tested my oxygen levels with our oxymeter, which came out at 89, 90, 93. This happened over a weekend

CLL and Covid !
My father recently got covid and had to be hospitalised for the same. He got covid related pneumonia and had to be on oxygen support (nasal cannula) for the first two days of his hospital stay. He also had elevated d dimer and CRP values. Doctors at the centre put him on a 5 day course of remdesvir

Anxiety hurting relationship
I’ve been suffering from anxiety and depression for the last 4 or 5 years. It started with work pressure and my late mothers dementia, but it got 1000 times worse with Covid to the point I took early retirement. I tried CBT and counselling but neither really helped. It’s now affecting my relationship

Does anyone have experience with long coviid and problems with abdominal pain, bloating and slower gut transit times? I am still waiting for a diagnosis of symptoms since having an episode of low blood pressure and dizziness after trying to return to work 3 weeks after getting covid for the first time

Due to that awful Covid pandemic 😷 I had kind of lost my mojo for running as there was nothing to train for. My running went from 4 days per week to one or two days per week. My fitness dropped and I gained weight, a Covid stone plus another for good measure. I was finding it hard to get back into

Covid
Well at last I got the dreaded Covid!! First signs were cough and awful taste in my mouth. Also my tinnitus was off the scale. I thought it was a bad flare! But this is different. Getting anti-virals tomorrow. I suppose it was bound to happen....

covid booster - adverse reaction?

methotrexate and Covid booster
I’ve just had my Covid booster, when I asked the nurse if I should pause my methotrexate for 2 weeks she said, no, definitely not. She checked with the GP there and they said there was no evidence to support pausing methotrexate. I’ve definitely read that pausing methotrexate is helpful. I’m currently

Covid booster prednisolone dose criterion - NHS
Update to post below: Thanks firstly to all who responded illustrating the inconsistency in Covid booster policy. Anyhow, after being refused a booster by my GP practice, I received an NHS text asking me to come in for a booster as I “may” meet the criteria … again to be assessed when presenting myself

My GP - x-ray
My thumb got caught in the boot door on Easter Monday. Long story. Lots of blood etc. Waited until the wounds have more or less healed and went to doctor’s surgery with photo and short explanation which I gave to the receptionist. The thumb from top joint up is now distinctly sideways. Receptionist

Worried!
I started experiencing palpitations last year and didn’t worry too much. They seemed to start after I had the Covid jab followed by Covid itself. I went to my GP several weeks ago about the palpitations. As I was taking a low dose antidepressant ( Citalopram) with a PPI, my GP arranged an ECG. In the

Air travel for the first time in over 3 years - stress and adrenals
So I haven't seen my elderly mother in person in 3.5 years. Before covid, we would see each other at least every few months, if not more often. When I last visited her, it was during Covid, but I drove to see her, which is a 16-18 hr drive (done over 2 days, which I did on my own). This was a few months

Update - prednisone taper and Covid Booster
In the past few weeks, while finishing my DSNS taper from 5 to 4.5 mg, I've noticed some of the original PMR symptoms I had - painful neck and a pulsing in my head to the beat of my heart. When I went to a GP within a week of getting these symptoms back in January 2021, they ruled out having a tumour
