My fitbit tracker can't get a consistent HR reading while i'm asleep or awake.
Hi all hope everyone is well First of all when it comes to monitoring heart rate etc, I am aware that fitbit tracker is not everyone's cup of tea. Thing is since i bought mine a few years ago it has always been so reliable and dependable....never let me down. I diagnosed with afib, mild mitral stenosis

Update on CABG
Good morning everyone. Finally getting to see Cardiologist on tuesday after my referral for the surgery was overlooked. I was in hospital again two days ago, basically sitting at home, felt nausea kick in and my resting heart rate went up to 168bpm and blood pressure 153/102 😒 . Usual scenario in A

Moderate Calcification
Good morning all, I was recently invited for a lung check and have been recalled as the scan showed moderate Calcification. As I like to be proactive and believe this is due to fatty diet, are there any recommendations for menus that will halt (improve?) This condition. My brother dies with this condition

Stent to LAD.
I had a stent fitted to an LAD about two weeks ago. This was not because of an heart attack. In November 2022 I was referred to the Chest Pain Clinic at High Wycombe because of chest pains. My bloods were fine, ECG was okay but on having an echocardiogram I was diagnosed with severe Mitral Valve regurgitation

here we go again😬
after 8 long months I finally summoned up the courage to run again. Long story short I had an op beg of last August, not allowed to run for 3 months, enforced sitting around aggravated my GTS, and then after physio for that I developed a painful/ weak ankle on the other side so more physio. Finally

New diagnosis for Ascending Aortic Aneurysm help please
Hi, feeling a little deflated. Had my first annual surveillance CT scan with contrast in relation to the kidney cancer I had. I had a partial nephrectomy last Feb and all is well. No further indication of any spread. Thankfully it was a low grade small tumour but I am still considered high risk. When

Gallbladder
Hi EveryoneIn 2014 my husband had the valve and 3 bypass op, recovered well. December 2019 had a heart attack and subsequent stent. September 2022 started with gallbladder pains but due to his previous ops there was considerable delay getting it removed. Delay that caused so much infection only half

Fighting back to health 💪
So 20 months ago I had a heart attack and stent op. I've always been very active and it was out the blue 💙 signs were there but I didn't realise what was happening. However I've been fighting back to fitness again and now training to walk 22.6 miles in April for the Glasgow kilt walk. I'm going to

Help Needed! Have I got Pernicious Anaemia?
I hope this isn't too long and/or too boring. I suspect I have PA but as with a lot of people here, no-one seems to take B12 deficiency seriously. I also have hypothyroidism so as my symptoms got increasingly worse over the past few years, I blamed my thyroid - the two conditions have many symptoms

6 months post stent
Hi Guys,It's 6 months post LAD stent and I thought I would log my progress. My life is pretty much back to normal, work full time and busy as ever Fitness wise, running, cycling and walking but still not really pushing myself to the limit as I used to when racing as I thought I would give it a year

Should I stop aspirin before non cardiac surgery.
I am a 62 year old male and suffered a heart attack in Feb 2020. I subsequently had one stent fitted. I have been on low dose aspirin and other meds since then. I have not needed any further treatment and was told by the cardiac doctor that he wouldn't need to see me for another 5 years. I am due to

Severe Proximal RCA Disease and Moderate LAD Disease - NO FURTHER ACTION!
Hi - I had a call from the cardiologist this afternoon, after a team consultation they have decided they will not be performing an angiogram and hence I will not be receiving any stents. They have said a stent would not decrease my chances of having a heart attack, and therefore it's not worth the risk

poo activity post HA
I had a HA and stent operation 3 weeks ago today and my bowel movements have yet to return to any sort of normality. Embarrassing to share, but I have loose stools that are not painful but nearly every morning after taking lansoprazole or say 20 mins after my breakfast. Anyone remember if this

Pain relief medication
Hi there, I had a stent fitted in LAD in 2021. Have a mild to moderate aortic leaky valve. I also have two slipped discs in lower back. For the most part, I have no pain or restricted movement. Every now and again, I’m in excruciating pain with my back for a few days, then all goes back to normal

Popliteal Artery Stenting - success or nightmare?
Hi, I have developed intermittent claudication in my right Popliteal Artery just behind my right knee - pretty much where the knee bends and can only walk short distances before pain kicks in. I am 68 years old, just retired and am an ex-mild smoker. Has anyone had a Stent placed in this particular
