Antibiotics before an egg collection
Hi there, I've been to the doctors for a lump and they have prescribed antibiotics. I'm worried that my ivf clinic will cancel my egg collection if I've got an infection. The medication is only a 7 day course so it should clear up a week before I'm even due to start the egg stimulation. Anyone had

Looking for IVF experienced Endocrinologist
Hi lovely people, After my 6th unsuccessful transfer and 3rd with donor embryos, I have decided to include an endocrinologist who can help maintain Thyroid levels before and during transfer. In the last cycle despite increasing the dose of Levothyroxine, my TSH jumped from 2.4 to 3.4 on day of transfer

Hair treatment (keratin) & IVF
Hello - bit of a random question but has anyone had any strong hair treatments done during injections? I have booked my keratin in for the end of April (booked well in advance) and have just realised it will probably be during injections just before egg collection. Is this a wild thing to do? 😅 I’m

Failed ICSI - 2 eggs collected none survived
Hi, I guess I am just looking for some advice and good news stories. I had my egg retrieval yesterday. I was a slow responder to stimulation but managed to get about 4 follicles on either ovary to the right kind of size. They managed to get 2 eggs which I was really disappointed with. However received

Hydroxychloroquine before Stims!
Hello everyone We are embarking on last own eggs cycle at the end of this month due to age. I have recently( in the last month) been diagnosed with mild adenomyosis and sticky blood, I am gutted that these issues have only been picked up now as I am nearing the end of my journey…but here we are.

Weight and IVF does it make a difference??
Hi you lovely lot 🥰 after a terrible week after a negative 2WW I’m now back on the mission of seeing what I can improve for our next transfer. I was just wondering how everyone gets on with their weight. I’m currently 10st 10lb and the ideal weight for my height and age is 9st 13lb! And I fall into

surgical sperm collection anyone?
after changing clinics, the doctor asked my husband to do a sperm DNA fragmentation test (we’ve had 4 miscarriages). The results came back at 31% which she considers quite high so she’s recommending that for our next IVF transfer the sperm be collected through a minor operation. Has anyone’s partner

I’ve hit a brick wall ..
I was wandering if anyone has any advice/similar experience. We have been ttc for 5yrs, we have had 2 failed IVF cycles and 1 natural conception resulting in a loss. First IVF cycles, collected 9 eggs, 3 fertilized, 1 embryo survived for day 3 transfer and did not result in a pregnancy. Second IVF

IVF abroad
Hello lovely ladies! Can anyone share their experiences having gone through IVF abroad? I'm thinking to consider IVF in either Denmark or Greece as both countries are said to have good IVF success rates. Also, can anyone recommend any good clinics in both those countries or if not, other countries in

IVF abroad - when are you required to attend clinic -anyone done natural/modified ivf abroad?
Hey everyone, I am having a think about IVF abroad. Is anyone able to tell me what kind of time frames you would be expected to attend clinic? I am considering mild IVF - has anyone got any experience of natural/modified ivf abroad please? I would really appreciate any feedback :)

Sleepy baby @ 8 weeks
Hello ladies!I am a first time mama to an IVF baby who is now 8.5 weeks old. He was 3 weeks early and with a low birth weight. My question is regarding baby sleep at 8 weeks. My baby is sleeping upto 20 hrs. Some times I have to wake him up for feeds. He has started sleeping more and in longer stretches

AFC (follicle count) reduced from 6 to 3 (baseline scan at create during ovulation)
In January 2023 I had a scan ahead of my NHS cycle (day 2 period) the count was 6. April 2024 BASELINE scan day 11 of my menstrual cycle (positive ovulation test three days ago) They said 3 follicles. I feel quite devastated that I could only have three follicles. I know they can come and go but

Really low TSH
Hi, I have been on Levothyroxine for about 2 years. I started at 25mcg and have now been worked up to 100mcg. I had a recent TSH check and it’s come back as 0.05. I asked at the reception and was told this result but there was no one to discuss it with. I was called by a nurse the following day. They

Progynova 2 mg
Hi All, I’ve been proscribed Progynova as part of my IVF protocol. I’ve been taking it three times a day for the past three days and I’m in lots of pain and discomfort. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 endo and I think Progynova is making my symptoms much worse. I wondered if anyone else has the same

Bemfola side effects
Hello! I'm new here. It's my first round of IVF and I'm on day 3 of Bemfola 300/day. I feel pretty strange... tired, bit nauseous, spaced out and I've been to the toilet more times than usual. Is this normal? What side effects do other people have?

Restarting ivf process, 43yrs in July, looking for any suggestions, help, tips etc. for someone my age.
I had three failed rounds of solo ivf July to November last year, but then my whole world seemed to crash down around me and I had to take a break. I knew taking a six month break at my age was not an ideal thing, but I just couldn't cope. Now I am starting my solo ivf journey again, on a very tight

For those who've done multiple IVF cycles...
...Were you able to improve your outcomes from one cycle to the next? And if so, what did you do differently for that to happen? I am gearing up for my third and final IVF cycle this summer. In preparation I've been taking these next few months to make lifestyle changes to improve egg quality. I'm
