I was wandering if anyone has any advice/similar experience.
We have been ttc for 5yrs, we have had 2 failed IVF cycles and 1 natural conception resulting in a loss.
First IVF cycles, collected 9 eggs, 3 fertilized, 1 embryo survived for day 3 transfer and did not result in a pregnancy.
Second IVF cycle, collected 10 eggs, 4 fertilised, again only 1 embryo survived for day 3 transfer and did not result in pregnancy.
Natural conception, everything seemed to be fine had early scans. But at 12 week scan told too much fluid around baby, had CVS done and found out baby had Edward’s syndrome a chromosomal abnormality and unfortunately lost baby at 13 weeks.
We have been told that all of the above is just a case of bad luck but surely something is going wrong when egg & sperm are coming together. Surely there is something else we can do/test.
Now that I know I can get pregnant naturally I have been told to continue trying but I am so scared that we will have a similar situation as before .. doctors don’t seem concerned.

I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been through. I have had a similar experience and hit a brick wall at the end of last year. We are still on our journey, but I’m hoping at least that we have found the answer.
I have had 6 miscarriages and 2 failed ivf, we got 6 blastos from ivf and they were all chromosomally abnormal. Our ivf clinic didn’t know what to suggest as they had tested us for everything that they could conceive that it might be eg karyotype, sticky blood etc and I have also been seen at two reoccurrent miscarriage clinics, all seemingly normal. When I hit the brick wall, I did my own research and found that its was quite possible that I have endo, even though the ivf dr said he didn’t think so (twice), I haven’t got heavy or incredibly painful periods, but did when I was a teenager, but not to the extent that I thought for endo (endo can even be silent). Some symptoms I did have were, bad fatigue for a day or two at the start of my period, stabbing pain when I needed a bowel movement around period and a pulling sensation. My left ovary was also behind my uterus, which I was told was normal, anyway to cut a long story short, I saw a specialist, I did have endo and then had a laproscopy to remove it in December, we are now just trying again. This is our last chance and we’re going to try naturally this year and see how we go. I just wanted to share this with you in case it’s helpful in anyway. If there’s anything at all that has been niggling away at you, do your own research and see if it’s possible, the drs aren’t always the experts. Hope you’re able to figure this out xxx
