The starts of it all
So I am currently trying to do my own research as the Dr told me to do. I had 2 years of thrush followed by a water infection followed by 2 more “water infections” which they just assumed was water infection as it was the same symptoms as my 1st one. My symptoms started off as sharp stabbing pains

HI IM NEW HERE
Sorry in advance for the long post but here is a rough outline of my story the last 16 years I got diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 15years old after an 18 month battle with over 5 doctors and gynaecologists whom all told me I was too young to have it as it's not in my family. Before being diagnosed

Help with period, hormones & eye problems (Meibomian gland disorder)
In January 2020 I came off the contraceptive pill, since I have been having awful (so awful I need to take time off work the pain is severe) periods but also started to have 'styes'. I saw a doctor who put me on a long course of antibiotics immediately once I'd stopped they were back. I then started

GP increased T4 while T3 was reduced. Please help decipher bloods so I can direct her to the next best step with unsympathetic Endo. Thanks!
Hi All, I received this text from my GP today [I called the surgery and have added in the ranges]: “Just letting you know the results of your bloods. Your T3 is the same - 4.3 [range 2.6 -5.7] Your TSH remains very suppressed at <0.03 [range 0.35 - 4.94] Your T4 has come down a bit - 7.4 compared with

Kidney pain / frequent urination in endo?
Hi! I'm new to this forum so hope I'm asking in the right place... I haven't been diagnosed with endometriosis yet as I am still waiting to be seen at the hospital but it is expected. I'm so frustrated with the lack of support by my GP but it sounds like this is quite common amongst endo patients!

Rigevidon - the pill
Hey there Going back on the pill after child birth and the doctor has given me a different pill called Rigevidon, when I googled this there are some scary stories. I am considering asking them to switch before I start. Is anyone else on this pill please?

Late period after stopping pills
Hi guys Wonder if anyone can help. I stopped taking birth control pills 2 months ago roughly and had withdrawal bleed on 24th Jan. I’m using this app to track my period and it’s saying that I’m 4 days late as my cycle is usually 28 days but today is the 34th day and still hasn’t come on. I have been

Help needed
Really not sure where to go from here - how much has it cost people to go private? I got diagnosed at 19, almost 10 years ago. I’ve not seen a specialist for almost 5 years as tried to manage it through GP. GP told me to take the pill back to back permanently and just have a break when I bleed. I changed

Bleeding heavily whilst on the pill.
I’ve been on the pill for 8 months straight, take it everyday at 9pm, but I have started bleeding very heavily & it is causing me a lot of pain? I’m seeing a doctor about it, but it’s giving me a lot of trouble in trying to work out what it is? Any suggestions?

Contraception
Hi All, Does anyone with Hashimoto’s have any experience of hormonal contraception? I’ve got a copper coil but since having it my periods are 12 days long and heavy. I’ve always had issues with breakthrough bleeding on pills in the past - the mini pill made me have 100 day periods! Plus I’m scared of

Synarel the alternative to Lupron/prostap - my opinion
So, I refused Lupron/Prostap after doing my own research and having access to legal articles and extra information. Personally, for me it was unsafe and increases too many risks for me. However, this was pushed and pushed on me and I was always left feeling as if they felt I wasn’t willing to help myself

Advice about referral and the right thing to say
I really need advice on what to ask my GP for to get my issue solved. I have had lower abdominal pain and discomfort for about 2 and a half years. February 2020 I went to my doctor about it. I described: fatigue, bloating, period cramps when it wasn't my period, painful ovaries, periods every 22 days

Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in January and had my thyroid completely removed on February 18th (6 days ago). I had no thyroid problems prior. The surgeon also removed two parathyroids as well due to their location. I began taking 100 Mcg of Levothyroxine two days post-op
