Hi there, does anyone on here know about and understand the link between hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency and oestrogen dominance.
I've done a lot of research and all 3 conditions can co-exist at the same time. Got an endo appointment on 6th April (if it goes ahead) but believe some endocrinologists are very arrogant and won't listen to their patients. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

CRPC & Transdermal Estrogen
New to PubMed, below [1]. British, but seemingly unrelated to the estradiol PATCH trial. "This study was carried out to determine the safety and effectiveness of transdermal estrogens in CRPC." {Although note the later use of DES.} This was a dose-escalation study. "A starting dose of 50 mcg/24 hours

3rd Cancelled FET...
I really hate this whole process... Right from the start I realised that not every transfer would end in success and I could kind of get my head round that... However I never thought I'd have so many challenges getting to a FET. My very first transfer was a natural FET, I struggled a bit with thickness

Thin lining buddies!
Hello, I just wanted to update people as its been 7 months since my last update about my thin lining. Just a recap, I had my first cycle of IVF in March 2019. We got 7 embryos that all made it to blastocyst stage which we were so happy with. However we realised then that the lining was going to be

Zoladex advice please
Hi, I have endometriosis, adenomyosis and oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer. Because of the endo my cancer treatment will include Zoladex which I need to get started on next week. I had a holiday to St Lucia planned at Easter (first big holiday in 10 years). The consultant says he can delay

Hormone testing and Endo
I just wanted to share with you – I've just been to a private clinic to get my hormones tested and it's come back with very low testosterone and low oestrogen, I'm also waiting for my laparoscopy at the moment and planning on having the coil at the same time. Has anyone else looked into their hormone

Will slow-growing follicles catch up?
Hi all, I have just embarked on my 2nd round of IVF. I have low amh (4) and endo stage 4. At my baseline scan I was told I had an AFC of 12, but today (day 4 of stims) I was told that my AFC is 8 and only 2 follicles look like they are growing as they should (2 were 9/10 mm and the rest below 6).

Dog... man's best friend
It is fascinating to me that our best friend, the dog, is the fellow-sufferer of PC that helped us learn how to treat the disease. Likewise fascinating is the post-dog work of Charles Huggins... this 1966 paper tells us we can potentially treat PC by removing testosterone, as we commonly do today...

Constant thin uterus lining and TShaped uterus
Hi. I’ve had constant issues with my lining and have had 2 ops to remove scarring. 6.7mm is the thickest it’s ever been. We have 2 frozen blastocysts waiting to be transferred (using donor eggs) but are in a catch 22. I’m on 3 estrogen patches, 6mg of progynova and aspirin...again! I’ve been reading

update on changed cancer
Lots of water under the bridge since I last posted. Had left breast removed because of wound that would not heal. Tissue sent for testing and came back Progesterone positive changed from estrogen positive. My young oncologist did not know how to treat this. Decided to wait until new scans. No meds

Aromatase, estrogen, and how (and WHERE) they work?
I have fallen into the hormone-hole of trying to figure out the why, where and how of this disease... AND of its treatment. It has recently occurred to me that many (most?) of the problems that men experience on ADT are not actually directly from low-T, but they are from low-E (and that is a direct result

Parenteral estrogens as first-line (mono)therapy?
I know high-dose oral DES had lots of problems and fell out of favor decades ago, mainly because of oral delivery and too-high dosing. What about the use of transdermal estrogen? I have heard about patches used by men who have already undergone prior ADT, as second line therapy or for QoL improvement

Update on my sister
Many thanks to all of you who responded last time I posted a few days ago. My sister has had the results of her biopsy back and her cancer is progesterone and oestrogen positive and her2 negative. Could someone let me know what that means in terms of her treatment going forward. Last time she had BC

After treatment of Lutitium
Hi My husband has metastatic PC. We hv been treated with the anti androgens, until the PSA started to rise again then the chemo, but after 3 treatments the PSA was only rising. Then we tried immunotherapy didn't work for us. Then estrogen which was a disaster for my husband. And then we knew about lutitium

History repeating
What a nightmare! So despite having started on 8mg oestrogen, higher than normal 6mg I’m only measuring at 7.2 at the thickest point. Upped to 10mg for 3 days. Transfer delayed. This is like my first FET. Makes me all nervous. Fingers crossed for Thursday’s repeat scan🤞🏻

Estrogen Receptor-β and Progesterone Receptor
New study below [1]. "The roles of estrogen and progesterone in human prostate carcinogenesis have been only recently recognized." Not true. Some recognized it at least 15 years ago, but it is not close to being accepted in the US, so far as I can tell. It has long been know, however, that ERbeta is

Cortisol and HRT
I’ve just received the results 9AM Cortisol blood test. 389 (150-500). My Endo is happy with the results, no further investigations. She admitted that I look very ill and shaky and in her opinion it is because my TSH is supressed. I am also on HRT for my horrid sweats end hot flashes. I need 6 pumps
