Checking In
I haven't been on here much lately, trying to deal with depression and anxiety without meds. I don't want to take the meds because they slow me down and makes me sleep most of the day. I changed insurance and I had to also change doctors, so I now have a new Nephrologist and thanks to my previous Nephrologist

Is colonoscopy safe with Pca with rectum involvement
Hi All, Due to elevated liver enzymes on zytiga - the MO referred my dad to a gastro-ent. He did check the liver manually for inflamation and ordered a few tests - Hepatitis B and Anti HCV for Hepatitis C, both came non reactive, alkaline phosphate which was normal in range at 50, serum protein levels

Advice
Hi I had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago after getting more and more episodes of pain and diarrhoea, it showed I have diverticular disease on my right side. 8 biopsies were taken and the results when I rang up say no cancer but mild colitis. I’ve made a appointment to see my gp to talk about this but do

Do I have UC?
Hi everyone, I'm 25 as of now and in november of last year, I had an episode of rectal bleeding. It lasted about three days and freaked me out really bad. I thought it might be cancer but when it remained stopped, I attributed it to possible hemorrhoids and moved on. Two months ago, I started noticing

Cauterising cervical cells
I was a little flustered when leaving the
colposcopy
as I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to get out of there!! Just looking to see if anyone can let me know their experience of this procedure, and if they know if there are any risks involved (I believe the cells can come back?

Update, sorry it's been so long.
so last week at the rheumatologist she reduced my prednisone to 40 mg and we're going on a tapir to get the 20 in a month. Because 80 really didn't take away my temple pain nor did 60 it's almost like we are thinking is there also something else because we know it's GCA I had a confirmed biopsy. My

First poster and struggling... need some friendly support :-)
I've been struggling both physically and mentally since July 19. I became unwell very quickly, basically overnight, with diahorea, nausea, discomfort and pain (right abdomen area / under ribcage). In total I have lost 22kg in weight. My BM type and quantity varies day to day, it's like a lottery (not

Hello and I'm so glad I found this site. I was recently rushed to hospital by ambulance after suffering terrible pain and bloody stools for a couple of days. It started mild then became serious. Do I need a laparoscopy?
Yesterday I went for a second
colposcopy
for the investigation into why I have pain and bleeding during and after sex. The doctor was extremely confused how I’d been given a diagnosis without a laparoscopy, he told me I would need one for an endo diagnosis.

Doctors tell me it's ibs but I think it's way more serious
I started out not being able to BM for three days then diarrhea. Then it led to four months of me having to use laxatives and magnesium citrate to relieve impaction. Ended up in a random emergency room when traveling. X-ray shower very impacted and colitis. After he prescribed four bottles of magnesium

Folate deficiency at 24 years old?
Hi. For the past two years I have been with a heamotologist because of my folic acid and b12 deficiency. I have had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy recently and all normal and negative for celiac disease. I don’t know what is causing this. I eat healthily. I keep having to have tablets and injections

Well for the past 6 months I had been dealing with some pretty unsettling bathroom habits. One day after eating breakfast I suddenly felt my stomach swell up and begin to cramp really bad. Anyone who cured GERD by going low carb, then was able to go back on carbs without the reflux starting again?
So I've had chronic acid reflux for three months now. 24/7, with nights being much more severe than days, but I have it also in the mornings. This started completely out of the blue, from feeling fine to suddenly having this. I speculate it have to do with being on Omeprazole for two weeks (for digestive
