Had my first Fibroscan today. I will need to wait until December 27 for the results, as I will have a Colonoscopy from the same Doctor on that day. I will have lab work done also.
I have been feeling better since my diagnosis of fatty liver, as I became proactive and joined the gym; water aerobics and recumbent bike are my choices. I really watch my diet; no dairy, limited sugar, lean chicken and fish, lots of fruits and veggies, Green Tea, water, etc. Current weight is 138.
Worried a bit, but hoping for the best for my test results.

The FibroScan just gives you a snapshot of a moment in time. The question is what are you doing about your condition? I became very serious about my diet after a stage 4 diagnosis and used the FibroScan about once a year to track my progress. NASH is a slow motion disease generally so noting happens quick. If things become more serious you will be wanting better diagnostics like MRE or biopsy but if you take control of your situation once a year would normally be fine though some people would like to do it more often as a mental health support step as even just staying steady is a win with this disease.
I just had a second post clearance of HepC last week. They read them and said no change from last over a year ago. No details. But at least it's not worse! It made me happy.
The only other thing is that they are looking into my several instances if diverticulitis. I see the surgeon on the 4th of Dec and colonoscopy on Dec 23rd. It's always something!
