Colonoscopy
Hi all. Just wanted to update everyone that I finally had my dreaded colonoscopy yesterday. The good news is that no cancer found - phew ! But they found I have multiple diverticula which apparently half of the population over 50 do have due to a western diet. I would like now to also reassure anyone

Rather mixed and still left hanging in mid air. What was seen as suspicious, has after a conference, turned out to be fibrosis, scarring from the radiotherapy, so not cancer after all. Another CTScan has been ordered for 3 months time. A sigh of relief, but then he said "they have spotted something in

Advice needed
I am currently waiting for biopsy results from a colonoscopy, which I had for suspected Crohns/IBD/UC. I have previously been told I have a Connective Tissue Disorder, also RA and maybe Sjogrens. I don’t think they actually know which. I am currently concerned as I have inflamed eyes, the whites are

Any advice?
Hi I'm new here.... I Need some help. I have been having these weird stools for about a year now. There is this clearish film on my stool accompanied by little white and black flecks. There is an over all flaky or fluffy looking appearance to the poop. The smaller filmy flakes will float to the surface

What is this?
Hi all, I'm a 44 year old female and for the past month, I've had blood and white mucus in my stool and there's also blood when I pass gas. It feels like I have to poop all the time, even after I just went. I had a hemorrhoidectomy two years ago and I thought the hemorrhoids may have returned (even though

PET scan shows small hot spot in colon
Dad just diagnosed T4N0M0 ( upper lobe) cancer in right lung. Told radiotherapy will “cure” it! Consultant who fed back to parents this week omitted fact that PET scan showed small hot spot in colon that requires colonoscopy next week urgently! Just when we thought ... fab! Hasn’t spread ... radiotherapy

Diagnosis by Exclusion?
I have Diverticular, diagnosed by colonoscopy, but also extreme bowel habits. Tried Laxido, Movicol, Loperamide etc etc but as they don't work immediately, it's hard to self medicate, Virtually housebound, look like I'm 9 months pregnant and often in pain. Is this IBS as other things have been ruled

Diagnosed with PD last year. Signs were hand tremor and constipation. 4 years ago a colonoscopy showed internal hemorrhoids. Recently it's turned into external hemorrhoids. Anyone had surgery for this? TIA, kpo

Colonoscopy due
Hi there. I am due to have a colonoscopy in a weeks time. I have been given the choice of conscious sedation or Entonox. Clearly the recovery rate is much quicker with the latter and you can drive yourself home. But can anyone advise who has had a colonoscopy or even several ! which They would recommend

Colonoscopy with AF and ICD?
I've had several colonoscopies with AF and sedation, with no problems at all. But now - I have an ICD. Is an EP by protocol required to be present to switch it on and off before and after? If so, that must mess up their schedules badly.
