Feeling nauseous and shaky after sex
The same happened after I had a
colposcopy
last week and I thought it must have been because they went quite high up to look at some cells / swab but it keeps happening after sex, and generally when I start to get pain it will follow an hour or so later.

Calprotectin in colon cancer
Hi everyone I understand calprotectin is quite a sensitive bio marker, albeit it quite non-specific for CRC. My question is, what is the likelihood of someone having CRC and returning a normal fecal calprotectin test? I’ve been having a tonne of bowel issues lately and am not in the best health right

I've just a telephone consultation with my Gastroenterologist, I had a colonoscopy and biopsy last month and they're clear. That news is good, because at least I know it's not 'life threatening' and I was concerned; I lost my two closest friends to bowel cancer before the age of 50. I developed IBS a

Does biopsy during colonoscopy mean cancer???
Hi, i just had my appointment with a GI specialist. She recommended a colonoscopy after performing a physical and rectal exam on me. While explaining, she said be ready for a biopsy too. Does this mean she felt something that needs to be biopsied? Or even when there is nothing, is it still possible to

Colonoscopy & MRI
I do a colonoscopy every 5 years. I just did an MRI for abdomen and pelvis. My question is: is the MRI I just had enough and I might skip the colonoscopy for a year or two?. I mean, can the MRI pick up colon cancer?. I did a blood test called CEA and it was high, around 8 and it should be no more than

New to apixaban
I have been changed from Warfarin to Apixaban after spending a week in hospital with a bleed somewhere in my digestive system. My INR had gone above 3 and I had become very anaemic with melena. I had a gastroscopy, colonoscopy and a CT scan but nothing was found. Eventually the bleed was stopped when

I have found very little information about this condition and I am a bit dubious about this diagnosis as the bleeding is cyclical. I think my last gastroenteritis

Ongoing stomach problems, is it something sinister?
Since end of July 2020 I have suffered random bouts of bloating, zero appetite and change in bowel movements. The bout in July lasted around 2-3 weeks and then bloating went as well as my appetite returning, my bowel movements never returned to a fully "normal" consistency. Fast forward to September
